Think we should sign a defensive midfielder - i mean clearly we could do with at least 1 more to go alongside Rice, Partey, Merino and Jorginho
I absolutely agree. His days of being in charge of the signings are over. Here's the money you have and you're buying a striker. If you want any other position, tough shit.

Apparently we are in for a centre back who has just come back from a serious hamstring injury.

A Tierney replacement I think you meant.

Inter Milan are preparing a January bid for Arsenal defender Oleksandr Zinchenko, reports The Sun.

The former Manchester City defender has not been a regular starter this season for the Gunners with boss Mikel Arteta reportedly open to the idea of letting him leave the north London club.

Seeing as we're back in the time machine in the year 2010 may I be the first to say......

NOBODY IS COMING :barscarf: :barscarf: :barscarf:

Anyone know where Kallstrom or Park can be found these days?

Another window of super super, top top quality before signing a no-mark on loan.

Looking forward to Arsene taking off the Arteta mask after we get knocked out on Sunday and saying "I would have got away with it too if it wasn't for those pesky Mancs"

It would take an Auba/Alexis Sanchez type signing to come in and immediately bang if we're to have any hope, I'm not even sire there's a player out there that fits that description......Higuain?

I wonder will Arteta throw out a few of Wengers old hits soon. Maybe we'll hear a "why do you look at me" in one of his pressers or we'll hear about Saka being like a new signing when he comes back from injury

Here's to hoping mate.

I'm sure Tomiyasu will be "like a new signing" and we might even get to hear about the 'internal transfer market' coming to our rescue as we've searched day and night for super, top quality only to find non available "at the right price"

Osimhen is the stand out one imo - a proper goal scorer for starters, but also a player with star profile that will lift the mood and energy around the team and the fans, and that is really important too

Lauturo Martinez from inter would also do both jobs but not sure he is available

Suffice to say that if Ornstein is saying no ones coming youd be convinced its a ploy by the club to mask the scent of the real deals.

but then you remember that as a club we are a bunch of feckless twats who wouldn't have the wherewithal to put out such a message.

I mean im 100% arteta out and i'd have him gone right now if i could.......imagine if the results stay as they are and no signings are made, The club admitting...we are happy as we are and we'll give legohead more money in the summer.

We really are a transfer shambles...and have been for the past god knows how many years.

We haven't even got anyone to do transfer deals anymore, let alone sign someone who actually would make a difference

What a joke of a club we are - Banter FC is back again

I think we all know that we WONT be signing a striker this month for sure, but another winger MIGHT happen but doubtful - there is no doubt that the lack of goals can be attributed to a few issues (lack of midfield creativity is a big issue), BUT top strikers can sometimes create goals out of nothing for themselves (wrighty was an example) which nullified the lack of creativity somewhat, but I think the cone boy has this arse ways around. He seems to have it in his hand that bringing in more creators (wingers and midfielders) is the answer, but with all due respect jesus has played with players like de bruyne and david silva and still only managed over 10 league goals in a season once (he got 14) so having more creativity wont make jesus and havertz top strikers no matter what. This is where proper football people behind the scenes would make a difference - we have no-one. I also doubt that this clueless cone boy would listen to advice being given to him anyway, but people above him are supposed to be making sure he is on point and doing his job properly, so I'd like to know who supported his buying of merino (we have plenty in that position) and sterling (clearly past his best and over-weight too), when that money should have gone elsewhere. Maybe it comes down to the fact that we are owned by kroenke's cos we know yanks love their hype and no doubt the cone boy has been hyped up to be the second coming of our lord ( ) so I can maybe forgive them buying into signing havertz when the cone boy was being lauded so much and they wanted to support him. Now however we and they can see things a lot clearer (or at least they should) - again yanks love their stats, so 23+ attempts on goal with only 3 on target, plus an expected goals return of 4 but an actually goal tally of ZERO should be flashing brightly in their minds right now. They cannot just look to the cone boy for the answers because he is part of the failure, so they have to have other people that they can turn to and ask "do we need a top striker" and "who can we get" ? Maybe they are being advised that 9pts behind the victims is too big of a gap to gamble spending big money this month on a striker, but imo that is very naive cos that assumes that our issues wont get much worse, and I think without saka and a quality striker things can get much worse starting this weekend against the mancs. You reap what you sow, but in our case it is going to be a we will reap cos we didnt sow

Marquinhos has come back off loan with Fluminense and gone out again to Cruzeiro. Go figure! Surely we are getting someone in.
