I'd actually forgotten about Osimhen, hard to believe he's wasting a year of his career in Turkey - still he was prepared to waste several years of his career in Saudi in exchange for a boat load of cash which tells it's own story. He could definitely be our Auba Mk 2 - but the major fear is he could be the Lamborghini loving Auba rather than the goal scoring loving Auba.augie wrote: ↑Thu Jan 09, 2025 10:52 amrodders999 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 09, 2025 10:13 amIt would take an Auba/Alexis Sanchez type signing to come in and immediately bang if we're to have any hope, I'm not even sire there's a player out there that fits that description......Higuain?
Osimhen is the stand out one imo - a proper goal scorer for starters, but also a player with star profile that will lift the mood and energy around the team and the fans, and that is really important too
Lauturo Martinez from inter would also do both jobs but not sure he is available

The Williams rumours are strong but he’s still very raw and I’m not sure he’d have an immediate impact. His transfer fee (€54M) has to be paid upfront in cash and this is a major stumbling block. I think he’s given up on his desire to go to Barca given their financial woes.rodders999 wrote: ↑Thu Jan 09, 2025 10:13 amIt would take an Auba/Alexis Sanchez type signing to come in and immediately bang if we're to have any hope, I'm not even sire there's a player out there that fits that description......Higuain?

Please whatever happens don't let us have anything to do with Rashford (Sterling Mk II). I beg you, just please don't.

She'll be pushing it back the other way in a few weeks time with Rashford in it.OneBardGooner wrote: ↑Fri Jan 10, 2025 5:34 pmArteta's missus has taken over from Edu as Head of Transfers:

Sterling, Rashford - fuck me its like the Southgate 2020 cast offs
Kalvin Phillips anyone? I mean why not - we could do with 12 useless holding midfielders

Agreed, even though he's not that big, he's got a bit about him and likes a "Challenge"... But he definitely has skills. Worth a Punt I reckon.Retro Gunner wrote: ↑Sat Jan 11, 2025 12:13 am
I agree. He’s a good young player and would fit well with Rice. I’d like a centre mid with a more creative talent, but that doesn’t seem to be the way these days.

Looking through the meeja this morning I can't seem to find anywhere we're buying anyone. Could one of you kind gentlemen please show me where I can see this?
