Asked Mikel Arteta if following his comments in the pre-match presser where he seemed to hint that significant business is unlikely this month whether his view personally is that the squad is strong enough or if that's the club's position:
He said: "No. It's the reality right now. We are not close to anything and we're focused on the players that we have. The club is always working and we're always working to try and improve our team but it has to be possible with our resources and with players that can make us better."

Odegaard is out of form because we aren't cruising games by 3 or 4 goals. When that happens again - which it will as soon as are 15 points behind, and out of the CL and Carabao Cup - he'll suddenly look good again

Since December ??? This season in 13 league games he has scored once and had two fcuking assists - when exactly did he have the fcuking baby ?? He is a gutless pussy that has gone missing in soooo many big games in the last 3 seasons but he kept getting a free pass from some - I think that day has passed now thank god. He, more than any other player, is the one that slows down our attacks more than anyone - he takes too many touches before releasing the ball and allows defences to get back into shape

He was injured for most of the early part of the season. His for has tanked since he had his kid. Is it the reason he is missing pens and taking an age to pick passes. No idea. Just putting forward a suggestion because I’m stumped.

The problem with Havertz is not Havertz, it is Arteta. If one of the worlds biggest clubs wanted to sign you, what would you say....."Oooooh, no thanks, I'm really not half the player you think I am"??? No, you would jump at it and be determi ed to live up to their expectations. But you can't, and never will be able to, because you aren't good enough. Chelsea knew that, that is why they sold him, same with Jesus, same with Sterling......and Arteta continues to hoover them up. Arteta needs to go.
