Surely you know he ain’t gonna coat him off? What do you think he’d say -
“Yeah, all of us think he’s shit but who else have we got?”
Yeah I know. But no need to be so effusive and say the real fans in the stadium vs social media.Anyone with a incompetent team mate be it sport or work undermining everything the team does detests them and wants them to buck up or f off.
In fairness to rice he was answering questions about a team mate who's partner had been sent vile threats against there unborn baby. Fuck him missing a goal. That is out of order.
Declan was right...no arsenal fan would say what was said. The question was loaded...yes, but lets be honest any platform supporting that vile should be shut down
Agree to a certain extent and of course the abuse is out of order but as dB and others said so is using it as an excuse like xhaka did, sadly they get horrific abuse whatever happens however they perform, easy way is not look at toxic social media.

But just seemed a unnecessary dig from deccers and to me suggested a worrying disconnect from the players to the fan base. Those in the ground are mostly tourists. I retain 2 STs and those around mostly share the views held here. Some don't.

Anyway I just didn't like that dig
How was it a dig? Rice is very clever with his words. He want's the fans in the stadium to be onside, so he's going to say something like that isn't he?

And you talk about football tourists, I sit in the North Lower and sometimes in the Clock End Upper. The people who frequent the immediate vicinity are and have been long standing season ticket holders and followed the club for decades. The football tourists usually end up in Club Level, because those tickets are the most accessible, just look at the seat availability through ticket exchange for the Man Utd game last weekend. Nothing in the upper or lower tier, loads in Club Level.

The ballots have by an large flushed out a lot of football tourists.

On the phone with my Spurs fan dad yesterday:

Dad: Did you watch the game yesterday?

Me: “I did, you?”

Dad: “Yep, we were robbed.”

Me: “How did you work that one out? We should have had at least four.”

Dad: “It was never a corner. If that didn’t happen you wouldn’t have scored your second so easily.”

They’re fucking delusional. :barscarf: :barscarf:

It used to be 'Slappy' after he beat his missus up.... But the BBC does have its Standards old bean....

Just don't mention jimmy Saville and the (alleged) Pedo Ring in the higher echelons.

I now expect blah blah first hand experience, and go full on Highbury JD on me. And I can then claim my 5 pounds.
