Kai Havertz

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Havertz misses chances but he's also scoring well anyway. The thing is, his movement, positioning and effort are superb and he keeps getting chances because of that 20 goal involvements in 21 games now I think, 6 goals in 10 games this season. I think the guy is underrated by most.
He carries a Chelsea 'tax', ie: we hated him from the start because he's ex-Chavs but he's got end product and quite frankly, he makes us tick when he plays as a 9 and when he's not there, we are shit!
He could end up as our top scorer this season I think. :barscarf:
Agree with this, he does a lot of the Donkey work, unsettles defenders, is obviously strong and that's why he wins most of his duels to move us up the pitch.

I didn't want him at the start but I do think he's getting better all the time, sure he will miss chances, what striker doesn't.

Anyhow we'll see at the end of the season (judge him in may  ), I agree with you that he will get 20 plus goals this season, he'd fucking better now that I've backed him on here

That needs to be 20 league goals Lefty.

I was actually waiting for this to be questioned

It's why I left it ambiguous, now I've been asked I will stand by my belief he will get 20 league goals 8)
Tbf to this prediction I didn't account for the fact that he'd develop cataracts in the interim :?
Yesss ! Indeed I See what you're saying.... That was a bit Short Sighted of us wasn't it ... That would affect his ability in many areas, especially those Glancing headers.

Do you think the FA will allow him to career around the pitch with a white stick and a Labrador? Hope so because I suspect the Labrador will be more of a threat up front.

Won MOTM last night, for some reason.

Seriously? Wtf??

Took his goal well (rather than heading an unchallenged 6 yd header wide as usual), but was his usual pony self other than that.

Martinelli the clear MOTM.

You can imagine all the away supporters with high pitched dog whistles leading him all over the pitch, I suppose a ball with bells in it might get in the right area for tap ins

Reminds me of an old joke.

A teacher at a blind school takes a group of kids out to the countryside for a day. As they're passing through a village deep in the country, he tells the coach driver to stop by the village green and gets all the kids off and tells them they're going to play football on the green. In the meantime, he'll go in the village pub for a pint or two. The driver asks him how the boys can play football given that they're blind and the teacher smiles knowingly and says "Don't worry, I've put a bell inside the ball." With that, he goes into the pub.

Ten minutes later, the coach driver comes rushing into the pub and yells at the teacher "Quick, quick, hurry outside, the boys are kicking the life out of a Morris Dancer!"
