Kieran Tierney moving back to Celtic in the Summer. Another one who could have made it with the right coaching and hadn’t suffered so many injuries. Never got a lot of games but a real shame it didn’t work out. Loved his down to earth lifestyle and manner. Wish him all the best.
KT is a class act and the best LB at the club.
I know he has had injuries but I think he has been treated badly. Canola was let go because we couldn't get him fit but when he left he playermd for many years in his career thereafter.
Tend to agree about KT. I’d happily have him in the side.
As for Cazorla, not only did it look like his career was well and truly finished after months and months of Wenger’s medics experimenting on him, but they were talking about an infection that had set in that might see him lose his foot.
The guy had the good sense to get out of Dodge and as you say, got back to playing top level football.
I agree KT is a Class Act and probably the most down to earth player in the Arsenal Squad...Really sorry to see him go, but it was Injuries that took their toll I wish him All The Best!
As for Santi... Yeah! I thought he was the most skilled player since God (Dennis Bergkamp) Loved seeing him play and setup plays for our attack etc..as to "Wenger’s medics experimenting on him"
I think it was called the Josef Mengel approach
Herr Wenger and his club doctor Josef Mengele.
At other clubs, a pulled hamstring or a tweaked groin would see you out for 3-4 weeks. Under Wenger and his medieval physicians, you were never seen again.
I think Santi had gangrene WTF gets gangrene in this day and age. it's not WW1
Go into the Arsenal treatment room and contract leprosy

He was also diagnosed with Sepsis... abdominal could have lost his leg...
Tel is a good young player, came from Rennes I think. Would be good cover for Saka or more likely, in contention to start on the left wing. Would possibly cost around 30-35m. Kompany hasn't given him much of a look in at Bayern as they also have Coman, Sane and Gnabry fighting for that position. Could be worth a punt at 30m.
I saw a link to Jonathan David at Lille. He's having another good season (not a one season wonder like PeePee was), he's also been very good in the CL this season scoring quite a few. 6 months left on contract, 25yo so would be available for a knock down price?
I think the thing to remember is, Sesko is Arteta's wet dream, if there is any kind of agreement with him to come in the summer, then any signing in this window, I suspect needs to be 'cheap' or a loan signing as they won't be the number 1 striker at the club in summer potentially.
Signing David and Tel now for somewhere around 50-60m total would be good business as long as we go for Sesko in the summer which I think we will.n I'm just not sure Arteta will splurge on two strikers when he thinks Havertz is one already?
The old saying goes that "you dont get a second chance to make a first impression" - sesko had his chance to make a good first impression in last summers euro's and imo flopped big time. I really dont see the attraction in him as a player - to me he is a modern day niall quinn and I think we should be looking for more than a target man

Aston Villa have rejected today an official bid from Arsenal for Ollie Watkins.
Proposal around £60m turned down as Villa are not happy with timing of the bid, ahead of crucial UCL game for the club.
Villa are also in active talks with Al Nassr for Jhon Durán.
Couldn't wait till tomorrow
Turned down 60 million......i wouldnt be 100% that watkins is even worth 60 never mind more......maybe 3-4 years ago, If we call 29 prime striker age then i guess your buying someone right in that bracket and theres a premium?

I would love to see us sign watkins and yes he is worth £60m no doubt - it concerns me that we might have pissed villa off with the timing of our bid, but we dragged our arses for so long that we are now in a rush mode
SSN reckon we'll go back with an improved bid ,but that Villa don't want to sell and obviously if dhuran is sold ,there's no way they'll sell Watkins as well
We sure like pissing Villa off with late bids. Pretty sure we did something similar with Douglas Luis a few seasons ago.
Not keen on Watkins, he’s not elite and fluffs a lot of chances. He would’ve been murdered here if he’d failed to convert those glaring opportunities when we beat them 2-0 at their place.
Let’s hope this is not part of some preemptive ploy to suppress discontent if we don’t sign anyone. The look we tried excuse is not going to wash for even the most die hard Artetasexuals
Feel getting Watkins is about 2 /3 years too late which is a shame as he would have been great for us, but should be looking elsewhere now.
If Ipswich were in Southampton's position and already relegated, we could've tested their resolve for Liam Delap but he's not going anywhere with their chances of going down still not certain.

My eldest lad is saying that is exactly what this is about but I am dismissing that because I think not getting a striker will be viewed as totally unacceptable to the fans, and bidding for messi, salah, watkins or whoever wont mean shit if we dont bring one of them in
