I see now why we made the bid for watkins yesterday - our transfer team are going to be busy today signing players for the lesbo team and have just clinched the signing of some yank for them  :banghead:

I hope we don't sign Watkins, he'd be a panic buy and at 28 probably on a 3 year deal.
This will fuck us for any chance of signing a top striker in the summer.
We won't win the league this season no matter who we sign.
I'd rather let the season meander to another disappointing end, which would hopefully see Arteta who has taken us as far as he can, leave the club.
Then a new man come in and still have the £60 million we are possibly going to waste on watkins. Rather than be left with a 29 year old who isn't good enough for a club with title ambitions.

Not sure I would agree with that part tbh - my opinion is that it is a very average victims team that will without doubt drop pts between here and the end of the season, but we wont win the league BECAUSE we wont buy a top striker. Signing a top striker could be a game changer and would without doubt increase the pressure on the victims cos we wont have a havertz missing open goals in those tight games.
Where I do agree with you though is that I do not under any circumstances want to see the club piss away money on sub-standard shite like vlahovic or sesko or mbueno etc - I would rather sign nobody than sign the wrong player (but we do disagree on watkins).
Re next season, I think it needs to be acknowledged that next season the bar could be a lot higher than it is this season, and especially if the victims can keep salah as well as van dick - those murdering c.unts have spent almost no money last summer and have spent nothing this month either, so if they win the league AND keep two out of their 3 contract rebels, then they will have a boat load of money available to spend next summer

Oh well at least we tried, bidding for a player we know we aren't getting, there's always the summer
Put that one in the "We Tried To Sign" list.... Along with the millions TOF insists he tried to Sign  :?

Can someone tell me wtf is going on with that saudi club al nassr ? They can buy only ONE foreign player now so they agree a fee with leverkusen for their striker and agree terms and he passes a medical - then they stall on that and agree a deal with villa for duran and agree terms with him and he passes a medical, and now very late in the day (their transfer window closes TONIGHT) they have had a bid turned down for mitoma from brighton and are preparing to go back in with a hugely increased bid for him :? :? :? Do the c.unts even know who they want to sign ?? As a transfer team they make our club look brilliant and that takes some doing I can tell you  Duran could still be a villa player tonight after all because if I'm him I am now questioning if they even want him

Thank fuck the druggy neck tattoo nonce is suspended so that’s one dud ruled out. Only problem is they’ve another 500 players in the squad to choose from.

Joao Felix or Nkunku both possibilities?
But Arteta would prefer Ben Chilwell I expect, especially if we con someone into buying Slugchenko
