Just seen an article that claims we are paying the water boy just under £3.5m per season MORE than multiple champions league winner and la liga winner carlo ancelotti is being paid by madrid - let that thought pickle in your brain for a few minutes and see if you can make sense of it

Who the fuck is in charge of contract negotiations? It's not just ArsenTeta's contract. Look at the rumours around the fat trannies contract, £200k per week and we can't send him back until the end of the season. Why on earth would you do that. It's mind numbing incompetence.

I know that opinions of David Dein are divisive but look at the signings and contracts when he was at the club, then look at the state of things after he left. :rubchin:

I think that this is still a hangover from the old French fucker being in charge of everything

Just please for the love of God, fuck off at the end of the season

5 years, 1 FA Cup with Unai's team and every single shot at a cup since then has been bottled. Same weak willed, limpdicks when it matters most

Had to endure 10 years too many of Wenger. Can't stand any more of this c.unt doing the same impression

Tonight the final straw together with the transfer window. It literally is Wenger all over again - pansy captains, excuses for signing nobody, throwing the towel in when it matters most etc

I heard that insufferable Arteta song being sung during the game Sunday and it summed up some of the pathetic losers we have supporting the club. Let's not judge the manager on silly things like trophies, instead let's judge him on beating a pale shadow of City on Sunday

He's still here sadly. Just like Arsene he'll be here for thousands of days too many. Stuck with a stubborn, useless c.unt who can get outwitted by the most average of managers and a bit of old fashioned muscle

Still fuming about it

If it takes finishing 5th to get rid of this fucking prick then let injuries rain down and have a proper collapse.

Not sure what to think really.
maybe it is time to move on and accept that football has moved on and what was success in years gone by is not the same in 2025.
the reality is that it is all about the money and if you consider the prize money then what Arteta is actually doing is correct.

Carabao Cup winners £100,000
FA Cup Winners £2 million
Last 16 of Champions League £12million

So you see we already won a lot more by beating Girona last week.
I have moaned all season about why we have played full strength sides and been pumped up for the CL games, whereas the reverse is true for the domestic cups. Above is your reason.

The Arteta template is clear - get the domestic cups out of the way at the beginning of Feb, have a recharging break in the sun, and then come back to make sure we finish in the top 4. The CL is already done (each round from here is a bonus, but dont hold your breath because he is a bit limited when it comes to top european matches)

We will win the CL and the PL and all will be rosy in the Arteta garden.

I hear you Rob, but the same logic surely applies to Newcastle right? Owners who are in it only for the money and right now they are tied for 4th place, so riches await if they make that spot. Why then did their manager decide to go full tilt at the League Cup? At the end of the day the two domestic cups in recent years have mostly been won by teams all vying for CL spots. Someone has to win them right, so what makes us the exception. I bet the FA Cup also gets won by someone competing for the CL places. A proper big club with a winners mentality doesn't seem them as mutually exclusive

that's true - at the end of the day someone has to win these cups.....it is usually a "big" club, but never us.

I just think that these days it is easier for Arteta to get away with not winning anything, and thats a sad reflection on modern football.

I'm asking OBG for a favour here. I've no idea how to set up a poll, but it would be good to have a poll/thread where the question is "Should Arteta be sacked if we win nothing (again) this season?".

I'd be interested to see the consensus on here, which will be, I suspect, out of step with the cretinous majority in the bowl. If OBG sets the poll up, would each person mind posting their decision after voting....no obligation to do so of course.

Any chance please One Bard?
