Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
I think it would be fair to say that this hasn't been our season.

Our front line in two weeks time could be three left backs!

Diego Costa 36. Released by Gremio.
Wissam Ben Yedder 34. Scored 30 goals for Monaco last season. Recently found guilty of rape and on a suspended prison sentence.
Get that Chelsea man in.![]()
I’ve never heard of the bloke and know nothing about the case, but guilty of rape and on a suspended sentence??!!

Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
I would love to know what went on behind the scenes to make Edu leave. Either it was his fault and he wanted to get out before he got blamed or he shared the blame with Arteta for what is a fuck up of epic proportions during the summer transfer window. With how Arteta talked up Jesus pre-season, he might have been solely responsible and Edu thought I am leaving him to it. Arteta will consider his future if the season goes wrong and blame the lack of backing during the winter window, not the mis spent millions.I have followed Arsenal since 1970 and I can not remember when we had such limited striker options that we have now. Maybe the mid-70s was close when Brian Kidd saved us from relegation.
Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
Once Edu got distracted, then left, Arteta given too much power, the whole thing starts to fall apart.
Unlucky maybe, incompetent definitely.
We can forget any slim chance of winning anything now, it's just get top 4 again, ah just like the 'good' old days under TOF.
Worst of all we have no pace at all, you just know a lot of the football will be even more slow and ponderous than usual, our defence will still be good though, so actually maybe more like late Graham era rather than TOF. Lots of 0-0 or 1-0's.
Wake me up when this sh1t is over..

It’s only Havertz. We’ll be better without the cünt
Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
Sorry but for all his limitations he is still a starting player for the German national team, saying we'll be better off without him is simply not true.

It actually wouldn't, at all, surprise me if we signed Costa.
He's about 103 and well and truly over the hill and he's an ex-Chelsea player; perfect for us then.

Lol, I didn't mean all 1-0 wins!, probably about 50/50.
You're forgetting the 0-1's.
We're lucky that the rest of the top 4 contenders seem to regularly drop points, just as well we beat city to give us a bit of a cushion or things would already be looking dicey.
I'd rather city were winning it though, then I could just accept writing it off, the bin dippers love-in from the media and seeing their glory hunting fans walking around southern towns will be odious.
