I also think van Bronkhurst was under rated!
Ian Selley was a half decent player till that crunt Mark Draper broke he's leg

I was at that game where Ian Selley broke his leg, against Leicester, was it Mark Draper who did it ?
Yes and I heard the crack from the clockend!

Karel, a little history lesson for you young man  ...

Football was invented by the English in the summer of 1992. Under the expert guidance of the gatekeepers at Lancaster Gate, football clubs from across the land signed up to compete in this "new" game that involved kicking a pigs bladder around a field for 90 minutes...these 22 inaugural members signed up, and the FA Premier League was born!

Despite what "old people" will have you believe, football pre-1992 didn't actually exist. The confusion comes from the fact that football existed, but only in writing & scripture..and not in an actual physical sense. It is therefore acceptable to describe pre-1992 football, as a Mythology rather than a sport, and like their Roman, Greek & Norse counterparts..the Anglo-football Mythology is a body of stories, based around a mixture of folklore, myths and legends.

Popular fugures...

George Best (Aphrodite) - The God of love, lust, sex and beauty...and alcohol.

Pele (Zeus) - King of the gods.

Maradona (Hades) - Argentine God of the underworld, and arch enemy of Zeus.

Billy Bremner (Ares) - God of war, murder and bloodshed

Popular stories....

Instead of the Greeks story about Jason & the Argonaouts, and their quest for the golden fleece....the Anglo-football mythology writes about English football's relentless quest for the World Cup trophy that was stolen from them during the Trojan war of 1970, by the God of football, Pele (or was it Zeus?) and his band of Brazilian conquistadors. Ever since then..the story goes, that every 4 years an army of English footballers embark on a quest to bring the golden fleece back to it's rightful home. Of course, it is written that English football was cursed to forever fail..and to this day, the quest continues. The story of this epic journey, can be found in the book, The Odyssey, by Graham Tayor & Bobby Robson.

Hope this helps

Whereabouts on the Isle Of Dogs was our 1st game?

I don't know anyone who can give me a definitive answer but I'v got a rough idea.

I agree with Karel, as if you ask any fan of another team about Sagna or Clichy, they will dismiss them as "shite' and "weak links". Out of the old players, possibly Keown. Great guy. reminds me of the time I saw him on a platform coming home from the Liverpool prem game this year, and he started chatting about the Arsenal. Yes, that is a db10 knockoff story...   :barscarf:
