As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
Yeah and i agree Almunia is an average keeper, but not shit, there is a difference, isn't there?
Ok Almunia isnt shit but doesnt deserve to be at a club like Arsenal now Sendeross (which is your original quote) is shit. 92 every thread you get involved in you seem to be on the wind up, why?
Too true - and as someone once famously said: Eboue Can't Defend!!
Look, I like big Phil and would really love for him to turn into the centre-half we are all crying out for. But the facts are the lad is damaged goods - mentally, if not physically - and it's doubtful he can recapture that form again (remember, that was all pre-Drogba!! )

What about Gallas than, he seems to have lost it. And his actions after the Birmingham game were just an embarrassment.
We've been in need of a new tough tackling mobile central defender since May 2007 !!!!!!!!! FFS !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wenger even identified this as our problem when last season ended.
If he doesn't get the aforementioned player in before Sept 1st - or more to the point, before the CL squads are confirmed - then our chances of success will be no greater - and probably less - than last year.
Much of what has gone wrong in the closed season is out of Wenger's hands. This isn't ! And if he renages on his previous - correct - analysis then it really will be ..................time
Well saying you want Gallas sold to make way for Sedeross in my opinion is a strange remark, you could even think that the person who wrote it was trying to get a response. Well it worked you got a few in fact. I have noticed this on other threads too

And wasn't Gallas playing alongside him?
toure
I was thinking he was justifying this last year's run. Either way, i think most agree Gallas is a better option than Senderos. And so is Toure. The problem is they're both too similar and need a tall defender of the Vidic/Terry mould alongside them - not of the Senderos mould.
Gooner92, saying you want another 1st team player out, especially at a time when our other first team defender has malaria, is just silly. Whatever Gallas did on a very emotional day at Birmingham isnt a reason to have him out. Maybe he's not fit to be captain but thats another issue. He also won us some valuable points last season against Man U, Chelsea, Wigan, Bolton as well as driving the team on to come back on many occassions. Aside from his Blackburn goal, Senderos' most notable moments were f**ing up in the Liverpool QF and a shameful own goal against villa.

Well, I suppose, if that's your honest opinion (and I doubt it is)..then fair enough. As you say, just because the majority disagree, doesn't make it ridiculous..after all, we often disagree with Wenger, and he's done pretty well considering
I certainly disagree with your opinion though...Gallas, to me, is far better than Senderos...maybe Senderos will improve (I hope so!) but he's made far too many high profile mistakes for me...I just don't trust him
