The most boring title 'race' for many a season - done and dusted before the end of February
While true im a glass half empty type, i would have said the “title race” was up well before this, competitively it’s been a lame duck since October/november, the mere notion of a race is kept up by sky and the like to peddle the “best league in the world”

The reality is that the mousers are decent, not great but certainly not bad…….if they’re top you can only cringe at what’s underneath. Like we do….every weekend

Take out salah and van dick and are they much better than the leicester team that won the premier league under ranieri ? I dont think so and that leicester team is generally regarded as the weakest team to win a league in decades. Yes I accept we have had injuries this season, but imo every big club should be embarassed at how easy they have made it for the victims this season

Without Salah and Van Dick the scousers would not be winning the title.

It's all ifs and buts......if Saka had stayed fit and Salah had been out for months, no way the bindippers would win the league, we probably would!

You literally couldn’t script a season any better for them.

• They have a 30 goal a season striker - essential for wining a league.
• City have fallen off a cliff.
• They’ve been blessed with injuries. Salah and Van Dijk are both vital to them. The 2 victims players with the most game time - 1. Salah 2. Van Dijk. They’ve absolutely beasted them with minutes and they haven’t broken.
• They don’t have to contend with any letter of the law or you left me no choice bullshit, quite the opposite which sees them get every favourable decision going.

If they were going up against the city juggernaut of past seasons they’d be fucked. They’ve just dropped points at Everton and Villa, and would have also lost yesterday’s game in the pre banter city era.

3 games with dropped points like that after Christmas used to be fatal with city winning 17 on the bounce but as I said at the beginning the stars have aligned for the c.unts.

If this city melt down had happened 12 months ago it would have been us romping home but of course it’s those fuckers who have benefited from it

The stars have aligned for dippers for sure and City’s capitulation is a major factor but it doesn’t excuse the fact that we’ve dropped the balls massively here. This is Leicester 2015/16 all over again with main title contenders having an off season but if dippers get to 90points then they would’ve fully deserved it imo

Agree with this. No excuses. A poor and unbalanced squad and simply not good enough. The buck stops with Arteta. The last two seasons it was close but no cigar. It's now heading in the wrong direction. This is where a big and ambitious club makes the tough decision and looks for a new manager. I'm not expecting that to happen.

Cmon Southampton! I know it's highly unlikely that Ramsdale will keep a clean sheet, and Soton score from whatever chance or a penalty but I still have hope for them albeit futile. :D
