Best possible starting Team Vs Replacements

Post by Senderos'sprintingcoach »

We are all worried about replacements when our starting 11 are not available. Are our B team really that bad, and what is the strongest line up this season?

A team Alumnia

Sagna Toure Gallas Clichy

Diaby
Walcott Rosicky
Fabregas

Van Persie Adebayor(If he's still here)

B Team

Fabianski

Hoyte Djourou Senderos Traore

Nasri Song Denilson Vela

Bentner Eduardo

Eboue didn't make the A or B team. In reality he'll be playing right-mid in the A team. :banghead:

Not as bad as I thought initially. If anyone can come up with a better starting 11 for the start of the season, please do!

how about replacing almunia ,that would make us stronger, maybe a defendeing centre half, a proper holding midfielder and ade to fuck off now that would be a better a-team

The only changes that may be necessary to the team is Nasri and Walcott. I agree that, at the moment, that should be the starting XI. However, a few weeks in to the season, it may become apparant that Nasri should play on the wing and that Theo should play up front. Who can say?

It will also be interesting to see what role, if any, Eboue plays. In short, I think he gets a little too much stick, because he isn't a dreadful player. I seem to remember being very impressed with him at right back, but as a right winger he was awful.

If Ade does go and Rosicky will be injured he will have to start with Walcott up front and Eboue in right mid and try Vela or Nasri.

I agree Eboue should be cover for Sagna. But to be fair I remember Ralph being the same at the start.

It's not his fault I suppose to be played on the wing when it's not his natural position.

I reckon Nasri will be pushing for starting spot. The guy looks quality. Need some one like alonso alongside fabregas. Although the benefit of gareth barry is he can play left back if clichy is injured. Traore is nowhere near ready to play left back in the first team, as last season showed us.

Would like to see a proper keeper as well. Although, i can dream about the players i would love AW to sign, we all know he is going to be an unknown from africa or south america.

Alos reckon Jay Simpson might be pushing the B-team for a spot up front, he looks good and has the right build to compete.

Although most of us know the outcome already, it would be interesting to make a comparison with our rival's possible 'B' Teams, in order to compare the relative strengths of the squads. Not sure ours will look as promising as it does to some people now. :(

One things which I have to admire about Man U and particularly Fergie is something which AW is not capable of. That is keeping top players happy as subs.

Look down the years and even currently at the players who have been happy to play 10 mins every game at man u. Solksjaer, Hargreaves, Carrick, Tevez (to a certain extent), Silvestre, to name a few.

We dont have that. If a player is not in the starting 11 they will eventually sod off. Which means our options from the bench are never as good.

That probably only has to do with the fact that manure have been more succesful though, when the team is winning everybody seems happy regardsless. The years ManUre went without winning anything they had a lot of players leaving as well, remember Butt, Djemba Djemba, Forlan, Howard among others.

Rosicky will miss the start of the season and if Walcott/Nasri/Vela establish themselves as the wide midfielders (depending if Theo plays more up front) the Rosicky may struggle to get re-established.

Wiltshire is likley to be a contender for the B team too.

Yeah, but it's hardly a fair comparison is it? The players mentioned weren't essential members of the Man Utd team. They were squad players at best (except for Howard) and when they proved not good enough, they were replaced by superior players - unlike what has happened at Arsenal. :banghead:
