Re: Injuries
Arteta has run this team into the fucking ground. Piss poor rotational policy due to piss pour squad depth/management.

Re: Injuries
It's funny in that when we beat madrid en route to 2006 champions league final we were also missing defenders to the point where flamini played left full - is history repeating itself ? I would be shocked like never before if we beat them with a full team much less with the weakened team we will have out, but football is a funny old game
Re: Injuries
As much as I think Arteta has taken us as far as he can.
No one could have predicted our injuries this season.

Re: Injuries
If we didn't have bad luck, we would have no luck at all

Have to say I'm concerned about the number of muscular injuries we are getting. Are players being over trained at this late stage of the season as well as being over played

If that's the case then it's another example of Diet Pep's nievity and poor management

Re: Injuries
I could have predicted the dangers of a overusing a threadbare squad over the course of a, roughly, 65-70 game season. Many of us could of, and did.
Let's not forget that Arteta was happy playing some of our major players in dead rubber games in the CL. The latest, for example. We were 7-1 up and not a single first teamer needed to be in the stadium - and he starts Rice, Raya etc. His squad rotational policy is abysmal and it's clearly born from the fact that he has his favourites and his favourites must play every single game - whether they want to or not.

See going back to wenger day's, when we were getting a load of muscle injuries the finger of blame was absolutely being pointed at the manager and the training they were doing, but for most part the cone boy seems to be avoiding the same scrutiny

I think we all know about leetle beet neegle followed by the player in question being out for a significant lump of the season.
These muscle injuries aren't a slight pull which is part and parcel of being a professional athlete, they are full on tears and that suggests players in the red zone. It's too many to be a coincidence

Fuuuuck this sounds 'Serious"
Nottingham Forest striker Taiwo Awoniyi is in an induced coma after having the first phase of surgery on a serious abdominal injury.
The Nigeria international, 27, collided with the post in the 88th minute of the 2-2 draw against Leicester at the City Ground on Sunday as he attempted to get on the end of a cross from Anthony Elanga.
He had surgery on Monday night and remains in hospital, with the rest of the procedure set to be completed on Wednesday.
In a statement on Tuesday Forest said Awoniyi was "recovering well" following the operation.
Awoniyi, a late substitute for Ibrahim Sangare on Sunday, received lengthy treatment on the pitch.
Elanga was in an offside position when he collected the ball but the assistant referee did not raise their flag until after Awoniyi's collision.
When an immediate goalscoring opportunity is likely to occur, assistant referees are told to keep their flag down until the passage of play is complete.
If a goal is scored, the incident can then be reviewed by the video assistant referee (VAR).
Although this allows goals to be scored, critics say the protocol needlessly endangers players.
Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis took to the field after the game to express his concern to manager Nuno Espirito Santo over how Awoniyi's injury was handled.
Marinakis is being kept updated on the forward's condition.
On Tuesday Forest said Awoniyi's injury was "a powerful reminder of the physical risks in the game and why a player's health and wellbeing must always come first".
I saw the incident and it was Nasty.
The rule regarding (Obvious) Off-sides needs to be changed, it also wastes precious playing time...
Those wannkers at the FA couldn't run a pub giving away free booze... Useless fuckers.
