Once the ref gives it now you might as well accept that's the decision.

As I've said so many times...who wants a system where only clear and obvious errors get corrected. It's completely counter intuitive and contrary to every other sport

Whether people wanted VAR or not, the common view would be that as sport gets quicker, decisions become harder and therefore it's the fine margins where help is needed....not the occasional God obvious clanger

In tennis the technology dictates if the ball was millimetres outside the line or grazed the net. Imagine that sport if we said, well ignore the tech because it was quite close. We will only use it when it's 2 feet outside the line and the line judge was asleep. Or in cricket, yeah I know the ball was hitting the stumps but only just...therefore we will go along with the 60 year bloke trying to spot the 4 centimetres the ball pitched outside the line. Bless him, let's just agree because it wasn't clear and obvious and he was nearly right

Agree with this. Today is the first time I've been on here for a couple of weeks or so and that is a reflection on losing interest in it all....admittedly the interlull doesn't help. Tbh I wasn't missing football at all for that couple of weeks and didn't even know that we had a game against Fulham last Tuesday until I saw a few people with red and white scarves at Liverpool Street Station.

I've been renting my season ticket out for a very long time now and when the renewal crops up each year, I'm never really tempted to take it back. I tend to be able to get a ticket if I really want one, but rarely do I feel so inclined. If it wasn't for this place I'm not sure how bothered I'd be, certainly after all those dead years of hopelessness under the Old Fraud.
