As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
Boring as hell since equaliser...was busy scrolling thru county cricket live as have ignored it all day as Essex batting, so only half eye on game but subs killed it. Why bother.
Ohdergaard is utterly shit. Fast becoming my host hated player with havertz given his ineffectiveness and slowing down of every attack with far too many touches. Get rid he's not good enough
I thought trossard showed himself a few times in first half and made some decent shots/runs but can see why the criticism. But then he's a player who thrives on fast ball and completely nullified Vs low block if we move it slow.
It looked like even the players knew it wasn’t worth bothering about, pity for the ticket buyer having to witness it but I guess there’s the bigger picture to think about.
Certainly doesn’t look like any injuries that we need worry about, martinelli might have a few bruises and hopefully that’s about it
Brentford have had just 2 shots on target and scored one, a problem that has fucking plagued us all season long.
As well as squandering a load of chances too.
Very groundhog-esque day feeling about this season for sure. Pretty much everyone sets up with a deep block against us, we have loads of possession but struggle to score. Then the opposition just need to venture past the half way line a couple of times and it’s a guaranteed goal.
We must have the worst goals conceded to opposition attempts on target ratio in the legaue. That has to be addressed, for it to happen once or twice is a freak, for it to be happening every other week is deeply concerning.
Last week Everton one goal from 2 attempts on target and same again today. Over and over and over and over.
The team we had out in the first half were doing all right against this Brentford side. They might not have had the big guns but for a game like this they seemed a better match.
Still, we played shitty like this against Everton before we walloped Madrid so I'm not reading too much into this. I'd still liked to have won though. Lucky for us Forest are on a poor run and so we've managed to stay ahead of them.
I went to this having finally been successful in a premier league ballot. The atmosphere would of been better if the players didnt keep having Tea breaks at every set play killing any crowd noise that was starting to build up.That does not excuse the mass exodus on 80 minutes. It is a nightmare outside but that was embarressing.
What was unusual was the strange crop circles left on the pitch in the area Odegaard was playing.
I do not think the top 4 is a done deal. I am worried about an Emery style collapse at the end of the season. We still have the dippers and the headchoppers to play that could potentially lose us six points and put us in trouble.
