Apparently we are going to have a huge summer spending bazillions this summer....

Yeah. :rubchin:

First, will we? I doubt it.

Second, do we really want Martinez-Lite spending another 800million and still ending up with no striker and signing some other semi retired fat little domestic abuser like Fat-heem waddling around the place? :|

For years we (rightly) bemoaned the lack of investment the owners/board put into our playing squad, and now we are throwing money at a fool who has proven that he cannot spend money wisely cos he is not a good judge of player talent  I believe that we will buy a striker this summer, but its what striker we sign that concerns me - I also worry that we will piss money away on a position that doesnt need investment right now. As always with the cone boy, the left back position might seem like a priority if tierney and zinchenko go, but surely having Lewis-Skelly and calafiori is enough options for there ? To me the absolute top priorities should be a striker and a quality attacking midfielder/number 10 to upgrade on captain invisible (no chance the cone boy will do that tho   ) and of course a back up keeper that doesnt cost a fortune
If Tomiyasu is fit, I know that is a massive ask, then we are more than well covered in both full back positions. Timber can play either side, Califiori when he isn't in the treatment room, Lewis Skelly and White are adequate cover..It is central defender that worry me more. White obviously can cover but Kiwior frightens me.
A keeper to challenge Raya, not one who is brought in on loan when he is cup-tied for the only competition he is likely to play in
Hein coming back might be a good option . The obvious thing is the striker issue..We are not getting Isak unless it is for silly money , which we won't pay anyway so it isn't worth mentioning him.
Few names continuously liked, Sesko etc....but here's one I wouldn't mind, and I know I'm going to be ridiculed about it, but Ipswich are certain to go down, so why not take Delap? ..He is big, strong competitive and has , admittedly limited, Premier League experience.

Old mate did NOT look impressed during the Brentford game. Let’s hope he holds significant power to make necessary changes, going forward:

Kiwior has done very well whenever he has been called upon including at LB last season

Agreed Thynker. I think he’s judged harshly on here. I suspect he’ll be gone in the summer, but you could do a lot worse than have him in the squad to fill in at CB or FB. Still, he’s a Polish international and will want game time.

Berta can get rid of both Havertz & Jesus as neither are needed.

I would happily keep havertz as a bench option albeit not on 300k a week or whatever he is. He has a clumsy effectiveness at times but is not the man to lead us to glory. Bench option fine. Jesus I think is gone.

🚨EXCL: Arsenal's assistant sporting director Jason Ayto has left the club.

Ayto, who was strong candidate in process to replace Edu and was interim, will serve period of gardening leave.

Leaves AFC after decade to further his career.
