Nice to see Tippex Teeth had to get his face into the celebrations. Narcissistic to the last.

I think last season's top two are much better than Liverpool have been this season. Liverpool didn't need to reach the same level of performance to reach an equal(ish) points totalRetro Gunner wrote: ↑Mon Apr 28, 2025 6:17 pmBradywasking wrote: ↑Mon Apr 28, 2025 5:31 pmWorst Premier League in history...uncompetitive at the top, uncompetitive at the bottom. Best team always wins the title, but apparently Liverpool have won it without achieving more than four consecutive wins.. If Liverpool 24/25 were put into season 23/24 they would be third.
Well, there's still 4 games to play BWK. They're 7 points behind our total for last season and 9 behind City's, with a possible 12 to play for. To be fair to them, it would be no surprise if their foot came off the gas, as they've already won it.
Their W D L record is likely to end up very similar to both us and City last season, so whatever consecutive run of wins they've had, the number of wins is likely to be very similar. I'd agree that the top 3 were better last season, which is why it went to the wire, whereas on this occasion, 2nd and 3rd are miles off the pace, but below the top 3 I don't think there's a great deal of difference between this year and last. Bottom line, as you say, is the best side wins it,
One concern if you're right about the level dropping, is that it's a big question mark over Arteta. Two second placed finishes, money spent last summer and ends up way off the pace behind the side below us in those previous seasons, who changed manager and didn't spend (we can hardly include Chiesa, who I don't think kicked a ball in the PL). Hard for the fan boys to defend, so it's all on the CL.

Re: Other Matches Thread
When Barca were in the shit he stepped up and grabbed the game by the bollocks and got them back into it, everything we didn’t have last night.
It’s something like that we needed from Saka, our Yamal, but he was invisible

Barca have multiple world class talent. Yamal gets space because of that. Saka is on his own in an attacking sense. Don’t get the hate for him on last night’s performance. He was sharp and always showed. He got double or triple marked or the ref gave soft fouls. Once on a yellow he was also blunted from trying to nick a ball away from a defender. If you think Saka is the problem then you haven’t watched what the rest of the side is up to.rodders999 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 30, 2025 7:52 pmWhen Barca were in the shit he stepped up and grabbed the game by the bollocks and got them back into it, everything we didn’t have last night.

Anyway, if we won this comp, which we won't, it would be a scathing indictment of the standard of football in Europe.

TNT up Barcelona's arse saying how well they are playing.
No mention of Inter scoring three away goals

Massively at fault for that. Not even mentioned on the commentary.

Very weird narrative by them for sure. They e been ripped to shreds defensively tonight, were a toe nail away from conceding a 4th and yet the muppets are spunking themselves talking about them as if they’re 6 up.IW8Goalmachine wrote: ↑Wed Apr 30, 2025 8:38 pmTNT up Barcelona's arse saying how well they are playing.
