Always the bridesmaids. I think we’re in a version of Squid Games, The Arsenal football edition.

I stated 3rd at start of season and haven’t wavered from that view since August.

Under MA a LOT of money has been spent, all parts of the team improved bar the forward line and most importantly the striker position.

The best one he had and binned who won him a FA Cup was Auba.

5 years since, his choices/signings Nketiah, Jesus, Havertz, none good enough to help us win a PL or CL.

Next year he has to deliver, no excuses, sign a good striker and give us a chance to compete as without a good one it will play out exactly the same 25/6 season.

You think a striker alone is going to fix us ? Our supposedly attacking midfielder has scored TWO league goals in 27 appearances, and has only EIGHT assists in almost 40 appearances (all competitions) - that's one assist every five game ffs    For comparison smith-rowe has scored three times more league goals for a mid table side
Captain Milksop's stats against PSG, are as bad as many other games this season

Martin Odegaard v PSG Stats, as per FotMob
Minutes played 90
Expected goals (xG) 0.14
Chances created 1
Touches 57
Successful dribbles 0% (0/1)
Tackles won 0% (0/1)

Those stats demonstrate that he brought little to the team, especially as we had 17/18 chances which must have been provided by others.

But I don't see Diet Pep dropping him :banghead:

Odegaard has had a terrible season, MA will keep backing him as his captain, it will be one of the hills he will die on as manager. He's had time he's had money. Squad imbalance means wheres the competition? He's too slow on the ball, takes too many touches and has the strength of a crisp packet in the wind.

Our top league scorer is Havertz 9, been injured so I be generous and say he probably would of ended up with about 12-15 PL goals. Not good enough to win a PL. CL no chance a forward line of any combination we have bar Saka is barely last 8 level, our defence main reason we got to the SF and two world class Rice free kicks.

Odegaard 2 in 27 PL, for a 10 playmaker, captain it's simply way below acceptable. 22/3 parts of 23/24 until the business end of that season he was very good, when it mattered he went missing time and again. Now the guy won't even shoot the Donnaruma save the other night excellent but I was more surprused he pulled the trigger than the actual save.

Time and again space opens up he can't link the play or he won't take a shot, games like West Ham at home fucking toothless, if your not a vocal leader at least do your talking on the pitch, he doesn't.

We might go through an entire league season with no double digit scorer.

Timber would get my vote for player of the season and I would probably have lewis skelly second

I also wouldnt have sterling in my worst 3 players - we knew before we got him that he was shit so we expected no better from the fat chav c.unt. Captain invisible would probably have all 3 positions on my list tbh, but if I had to throw 2 others into the list then I would probably go with partey and either raya or trossard - I know raya has made some quality saves for us this season, but fcuk me his pricking around with the ball has become a real problem this season, and his arrogance seems to make him think that he is untouchable. For the record I will say AGAIN that I am not in favour of the club having two number 1 keepers (if they sign espanyol keeper), but I do think we can do better than raya and if the espanyol keeper is better then we should fcuk raya off to madrid for good money

He's waxing lyrical about Havertz again......new role for him alongside our new "big money striker" He can play backup, score goals, he is so intelligent, blah, blah,blah.......

There is always gonna be somebody that we hate and the manager sticks with, no matter what.

Best three:

Gabriel
Timber
Rice (probably)

Struggling a bit tbh. After Gabriel, the bar becomes pretty low.

Worst:

Havertz
Partey
Odegaard

In no particular order.

What some of you say is True... same as Augie I didn't put the Fat Useless Chav in my worst three because I never ever considered him a player...Also I forgot about Partey  (who other than a few Very Good games was shyte). There are so many to choose from Thanks to Captain Black.

In terms of injuries it has been a Bad Season, but also in terms of players being very out of form: Saka, Trossard, Martinelli, Partey, White, Havertz, Saliba to name but a few...It is a Miracle that we managed to stay in the Top Four... But again that is down to the whole League bing extremely Poor... Which is part of the reason the *victims. have had it so easy.

The season has been Bad from day One. With everyone 'Knowing' that without a striker... we were going to win Nothing.

Also I think it is very telling that most's 3 Best are All Defenders... But with Rice having to fulfill both roles due to our thin squad. His best position (for me) is No8 where he can push the team forward... But has had to play No6 (and often Both) with very much a defensive role far too often.

Truth be told, I am not expecting us to challenge for the Title next season, simply because we need to buy At Least 6 if not 7 Top Grade Players whilst off-loading some serious Deadwood and that as we all know ain't gonna happen. We might get lucky and get to the Latter Stages of the cL... and maybe even the FA Cup. But the*victims will strengthen an already decent squad (with Salah and Van Dickhead now staying), as will Cheaty, the Chavs and the Head Choppers...

Hey Ho!

ALL A LOAD OF UTTER, UTTER BOLLOCKS.

Post by OneBardGooner »

In the end it is All a Load of Utter Bollocks isn't it.

We pin our hopes on someone to manage & coach the team, to buy the right (not always the highest rated) but most suitable players and then just tell the Truth and Be Honest with the fans; even allowing the Politics off the field and all the sniping and banter that goes on by the media, pundits (of other clubs) and other managers, players and fans.

We invest endless hours of energy and time in order to fit our teams plans and games in and around our busy lives, only to witness some players who earn in a year what we will never do in our Life Time, and not give 100% (which is what we would do if we were given the talents & opportunity to play for Our Chosen and Beloved Team... The same team we have followed through thick and thin for most of our lives.

And then see players not bother, or appear to not care. We see them laughing and joking at the end of a game they have just lost, like it means nothing... as long as they get their monthly check for Gods Knows How Much!

Then we have to endure the Gobbledegook Bollocks of our managers Pre-game and Post-game Pressers... Which is often highly embarrassing.

And it just makes any sensible person think and say "Bollocks To This Utter Bollocks".

The manager/coach, the coaching & medical staff and players inhabit a totally different universe to the one we all have to where we can sometimes or often in many cases struggle to make ends meet and yet we still pour our energy and time into supporting them and making sure we do all we can to find room in our busy lives just to see them 'Coast'; like they truly don't give a Fuck.
Yes, some most definitely DO care.

But when the manager actually brings in a player like Sterling on loan for £180k a week! And even in his first appearance EVERYONE can see he is not just a Busted Flush but Fucking Useless... and still the manager (for what appears to be unfathomable reasons) continues to play him when there are Young Players sat on the bench straining at the leash to try and Get On the Pitch and Show Their Worth. And even though they may not yet be ready for First Team Football it is guaranteed they would give 110%.

We had to Endure TOF and his Dishonesty & Arrogance for 11 years before he was eventually crow bared out of his comfy delusional world.

And now it definitely looks like we have a Younger, more arrogant manager running the team... who is incapable of Changing Tactics and Formations during a game in order to countermand the oppositions managers tactics and game plan. And so we end up dropping valuable;e point s and / or Losing games against teams we should be beating.

How many times have we all said at some point "It's the hope that kills"?

Arsenal.FC is Billion Pound Business Owned and Run by Powerful Business Men who are intent on one main thing 'Profit"... Profit before all other considerations. Yes, if they can achieve success ON the field as part of their Business Pan, all the better, because Success On the Field Brings Greater Profits Off the field. But they know Fuck-all about 'Football' in its truest sense.

And so on and on and on this fucking Circus goes and we are all just expected to eat it up with a Fucking Spoon and Take What We are given !

As I say;

IN THE END ITS ALL A LOAD OF UTTER BOLLOCKS.

Perfectly put Bard  I watched lastnight as the fulltime whistle went and switched it off..My oldest lad sat watching said "Must be great to win a trophy dad it must feel brilliant" and off to bed he sulked face tripping him.Its maybe devalued in a lot of eyes but that lot are happy, delusional but happy and we've got fuck all to show for 5 years and counting of this beige c unt.It won't change next season either..Top 4 or 5 and zero cups again, probably no cup finals either and so the merry go round will continue onto the next season.
