As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
This is just impossible, identifying targets for next season and getting the deal done........fucking witchcraft!!
Madness. They must be breaking some sort of law of physics. Everybody knows you can't get any transfers done until two-three weeks into a new season after they've dragged on for four months.

Defending our recruitment team is not a position I am comfortable or familiar with, but I will say that you are comparing two different scenarios there - madrid need to get their business done early for club world cup in June, whilst we dont need to get business done quite so early.
Re the young lad in question, I have to question his wisdom in joining madrid - he was at a big club (juve) where he wasnt getting much game time to the point that he joined little old bournemouth (no disrespect meant). Going there playing regularly rebuilt his reputation and standing in the game as a top young prospect, and while I understand him wishing to move on from there, maybe going up to a club a level down from madrid but where he would play every week would be a more shrewd move at this stage for him ? Of course if he goes there and is first choice every week then I am wrong and he is 100% correct

Yeah I wouldn’t be fussed on the player as such, he most likely stands equal chance of sinking or swimming at madrid.
It’s the business acumen and ability to act swiftly that has me envious.
Huijsen deal is on a release clause. He clearly only wants to go to Madrid. We don’t have the same pull as a side that has won the European Cup 15 times do we?
I would just relax and appreciate they have gone for Huijsen which means they aren’t after Saliba for a while.
I would imagine the deal happens on 1st June. It’s just been announced now as they have agreed he is going there.
"I am the number 9 for Arsenal. Sometimes I have been unlucky. If I score 10 they will look for 20, and if I score 20 they will look for 30. This is the life"
Fcuker has never scored 20 league goals in his career, and I dont think he would get 20 even if he stepped down to non league - in my opinion he simply doesnt have the natural instinct of a striker

Two or three of us on here were saying this when we bought him. He missed no end of chances at City, in a team where they were constantly handed to him in a plate. He was never going to score goals in our side.
He should have been sold last summer, but it will be no surprise if he and Havertz are still stinking the place out next season. Havertz the vanity project, is certain to be here, but even if we add a proper striker, we’ll probably still be paying Jesus bundles as a squad member.
