Think it will be his undoing personally , he gets who he wants and they won't be good enough and be sacked by Xmas or Berta gets his way and Arteta walks sulking.Retro Gunner wrote: ↑Tue May 20, 2025 12:16 pm
A signing like this would not surprise me, because Nkunku would be a squad player rotated in the forward line and that means that Havertz is pretty much assured a starting place.
I’ve been thinking for a while that If we sign a proper, goal scoring CF, then what does Lego Head do with his vanity project? He either starts every week on the bench, or Arteta has to drop his other favourite, Captain Milksop to accommodate Havertz and I can’t see that happening. Far easier for Lego Head to sign another chav reject and not face pressure to drop Havertz and start the new boy.
This is going to be an interesting transfer window and however it pans out, it’s likely to see the Cone Boy paint himself into a corner.

I know very little about him tbh, except he's quite youngArsenal Till I Die wrote: ↑Tue May 20, 2025 12:05 pmI think if we get Sesko then we'll be very disappointed in the long term.

The fact that Edu was replaced says to me that the Board does not have 100% faith in Diet Pep especially in the transfer market.gooner265 wrote: ↑Tue May 20, 2025 1:13 pmThink it will be his undoing personally , he gets who he wants and they won't be good enough and be sacked by Xmas or Berta gets his way and Arteta walks sulking.Retro Gunner wrote: ↑Tue May 20, 2025 12:16 pm

Maybe they learnt from giving the old fraud too much power

For the Owners (*) it is ALL about Profit....The fact that they know Fuck-All about the product (in this instance Football...NOT Socccerrrrrr!
) Means Nothing.. If they see that Profits are Good (CL/Prem Finishing Positions Money) and of course Merchandise etc They will just sit back and Rake It In... I mean look how long it took for them to get wise to TOF (11 fucking years!) and even then it was only because there were growing numbers of empty seats at the home games (and hopefully The Wenker Out Protests did help in some way???) That they Cut the Cũnt loose.
Can you imagine had the Faithful & Tourists just carried on buying tickets & merch and Profits carried on in the Positive / Black TOF might still be there!
(*)
Stan Kroenke the owner of Kroenke Sports & Entertainment, which is the holding company of Arsenal of the Premier League and Arsenal Women of the Women's Super League, the Los Angeles Rams of the NFL, Denver Nuggets of the NBA, Colorado Avalanche of the NHL, Colorado Rapids of MLS, Colorado Mammoth of the National Lacrosse ..
Also:
The Nuggets and Avalanche franchises are held in the name of his wife, Ann Walton Kroenke, to evade NFL rules that forbid a team owner from having teams in other markets.[2] Ann, part of the Walton family, is the daughter of Walmart co-founder James "Bud" Walton.
Walmart!!!!! FFS! They Make Tesco's, Morrisons, M&S, Waitrose and Lidl Combined look like a tiny dodgy Corner Shop.

Eze comes on as a very late sub and still manages to score within 5 minutes....
Why can't we just go and sign him?

Understand that some within the club have doubts over his ability on the ball.
Hein may go on another loan to a Conference League or Europa League side to increase value before selling.

Because we don’t sign players that will immediately improve the first team and risk upsetting pampered pussies like Ohdeargod.OneBardGooner wrote: ↑Tue May 20, 2025 8:51 pmEze comes on as a very late sub and still manages to score within 5 minutes....Why can't we just go and sign him?

Talks have begun behind the scenes. The 24-year-old is a potential departure candidate at Real Madrid.
It’s difficult but Arsenal are currently exploring all options for a possible transfer. Deal on.

Are we exploring an option for Vini Jr too?

As usual there are all kinds of Rumours doing the rounds, 99% a load of bollocks, but some of which relate to who we might be Selling:mcdowell42 wrote: ↑Wed May 21, 2025 2:57 pmBREAKING | Understand Arsenal are now seriously considering a transfer for #Rodrygo!

Trossard off to the Arabs (No not the fat bellies or cheats) the other lot where women aren't allowed at Football games unless they are covered head to toe in Blackout Curtain material and handcuffed to their owner.
Martinelli not "Happy" and is willing to leave .... Byeeee don't let the door hit you in the back on yer way out... Hear a rumour that Martinelli is being offered as part of a deal for Nico Williams...? Yeah! I knowww...

Partey being courted by two teams from the Arab league.... Yaaaay! Hope So!
Rodrigo deal ongoing talks etc

Sesko deal very close to Agreement... (I would prefer Gyokeres any day)
Worst one is that we are in for another Chav reject Nkunku .... I fuckin' Hope NOT!

Besides which we know Tierney & Jorghino are gone.

Arsenal could delay striker move and prioritise guaranteeing quality in other positions like left-wing amid links to Rodrygo should the club not be convinced by centre-forward options - @Football_LDN
Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
When Arteta started to big up Havertz the same as he did with Jesus last summer made me think he was not going to sign a striker.mcdowell42 wrote: ↑Wed May 21, 2025 4:04 pmArsenal could delay striker move and prioritise guaranteeing quality in other positions like left-wing amid links to Rodrygo should the club not be convinced by centre-forward options - @Football_LDN

The name of Viktor Gyökeres has been discussed in conversations internally at Arsenal. But it is our understanding that he is not the first choice for the club. The door can never truly be shut but there seems to be a desire for a different set of skills.

Exactly John. I said on here either yesterday or Monday that signing a proper goal scoring CF will mean that he has to bench either Havertz, or Odegaard and that I can't see him doing that. It's why we're linked with people like Nkunku, who will be rotational squad members, rather than nailed on starters. The option of signing wingers instead of strikers would also enable him to avoid the Havertz issue.
I hope I'm wrong about this, but if this is the path that Arteta takes, then it will finish him at the club. Mind you, that probably means he'll only hang around for another 3 years, rather than 5 or 6.

For what it's worth, from what I've seen, Sesko won't be the answer. I've only seen him at last year's Euros and maybe it's harsh to judge him on that alone, but he looked poor. In the Bundesliga this season, played 33, scored 13, assists 5. Very average at best. We need far better than average.
