Not sure how anyone can be against the kepa deal unless blind hatred for everything the club does clouds judgement!

He's a decent keeper, and at 5m it's a no brainer. He could really push Raya as he showed at Bournemouth he's definitely no mug.

Deal makes sense on all levels unless we are paying him 300k a week!
Id just be wary that’s all, from memory have we ever signed a chelsea player thats been better for us then them, im not sure. From diarra to gallas to yossi to havertz weve had our pants pulled down over and over and over.

At a base level this looks like resonable business for relative pennies but me personally, id rather we didnt do business with them.

How are talks progressing between ATID and Margot Robbie?? Fuck all the other pish..this is the transfer I want to know about.. :D
My agent - he prefers I call him a “barrister” but I’ve never seen him make a coffee once! - mentioned her people have submitted her papers which must be signed; a ‘restraining order’ - whatever that means. While it says I must be 70 foot away from her at all times (bit optimistic as I’ve only got 4 inches and that’s on a warm day!) it didn’t say the word “no!” So we’re close! :barscarf:

I dunno how anyone could be against signing kepa cos the way the cone boy "rotates" his team, he'll never see any game time anyway  Neto made ONE appearance last season - I could be back up keeper at AFC if that is all that will be required of me 8) Signing the espanyol keeper made zero sense to me unless he was going to sell raya - having two number one keepers simply does not work, so spunking out big money on him would be ridiculous

Apparently the chap I was speaking to (he didn’t like when I called him a special cuñt-stable - despite the fact he wore a silly black hat and a yellow jacket!) offered me a compromise; 6 months in a place called “HMP Broadmore” (I preferred when they called it Butlins,
to be honest), and having to sign up to some sort of register, or a night with Finsbury Park Gooners’ girlfriend and a course of antibiotics.

The agony of choice….

Nah, I told Margot it was over a couple of years ago. Started off nicely and it was ok for a while, but that Aussie accent drove me nuts. Costing me a fortune flying to LA and back every other week for a long weekend, so gave her number to ATID, and got out of Dodge.

I tend to agree Dec. I’m not gonna lose any sleep over a 5 million fee and I suppose he’s ok as a number 2 keeper, but he’s always been a bit dodgy imo. As you say, why do we keep buying the players Chelsea are rejecting?

I often make a point on here that it’s another Basque that he’s signing or interested in and I’m only partly joking. Guess what….yup, Kepa is a Basque.

Sounds like a very very sensible deal to go for Kepa for that money. Decent back up and it means w won't pay 25m plus for Garcia which was a crazy move!!

How very Arsenal that amongst the rumours of Sesko, Gyokeres, Zubamendi etc that the first signing of the window will be another useless c.unt Chav reject

I'd rather see us have a decent academy keeper rise through the ranks than waste money on this turdbag. If he was any good he'd still one of Chavski's FOUR keepers wouldn't he?

It's the wages as well as the 5m. Ask yourself how many games will he play? He will get the domestic cups which we throw away anyway, match day eight in the CL if we are already through and some possible dead rubber league games later in the season when we are probably guaranteed top 4 but not the title

Waste of time signing in my opinion. For the role he would play I'd rather give experience to an upcoming teenager/youngster than someone who has had their chances in this league and been a useless lightweight tosspot who has been chewed up and spat out by one of our rivals

As I say though - a very Arsenal piece of business

Another lightweight looking streak of piss too. I'm sure the fan boys are digging up a montage of same saves for Bournemouth last season. Well just watch any game where the c.unt is trying to defend a corner - he literally shits his pants and flaps around like a drag queen on acid. He's shite. Absolutely shite and the Chavs know it which is why they've spent about another 100m on other keepers and got this twat off the wage bill ! Probably ok in Spain where they don't hassle the keeper as much from set plays but in English football he's a fucking failure

On reflection I have to agree with SteveO about this. The amount of time he's gonna play we'd be better off and better economically using one of our young keepers.
The £5m plus wages could be used for proper transfers as we'll likely claim we haven't the money to do business unless we sell first.

After Raya, haven't we got those two younger keepers, who are apparently well regarded and playing regularly for England age-group sides? Why do we continually need to keep buying a keeper every two months or so? 5m for Kepa isn't the worst bit of business but no doubt we'll end up having to play a 14 year old in goal at some stage this coming season if Raya gets injured because all the others will ether be injured or somehow cup-tied.

Pound to a Penny that Raya will get injured at some point (Remember that's how Martinez got his chance when Leno (who???) got crocked for 2 months) So we definitely need a Back-Up who is Competent to handle the pressures and physicality of leg Cup/ FACup and perhaps the Prem & CL.
