ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
Of course Sesko isn't going to go to Saudi FFS! It would be like MLS deciding to go there and kill his career!
The big danger of letting the Sesko transfer drag on is that Chavski are likely to just come straight in with a £75-80m bid to blow us out of the water!

I know it can seem like that but it certainly isn’t the case. From my own personal point of view I want the team to win absolutely everything, the anger comes from the fact that even to an outsider the club themselves don’t seem to be as fussed on winning as we do.Limerick Gooner wrote: ↑Tue Jun 10, 2025 5:41 amCertainly we have several saboteurs on here. The amount of anger on here stems from being able to see quite clearly what the club are up to in terms of trying to win trophies not from any desire to see the club fail.

What I think people need to get theirs heads around is that you can’t control much to do with Arsenal. On Arteta specifically, I think he has done ok and come up short against a literally unbeatable City for two seasons running. We then dropped a huge bollock last season. I think we regressed badly in 24/25 and I am as angry as anyone about it. It could be a sliding doors moment where City come back with Rodri and their signings, Liverpool strengthen and even Chelsea kick on. But what can I do about it? I remain clear that Arteta has largely done ok and last season was the failure. In saying that we had stupid numbers of injuries, refs giving weird points costing decisions against us in multiple games and the scousers without any injury free ref controversy free season. We need to kick on and if we don’t then Arteta has to go.xgtdec wrote: ↑Tue Jun 10, 2025 6:29 amI know it can seem like that but it certainly isn’t the case. As an example I just got this via the liver score app
“” Arsenal regard Martin Zubimendi's move from Real Sociedad as 'done and signed' despite reported interest from Real Madrid, The Athletic's David Ornstein has confirmed.””
We as a club are amateurs at this business, have you ever heard such shit as the transfer is done but Madrid are interested.
If it’s done then you announce it and get on with things, if it’s not you say it’s not a player you’re interested in and get on with things.
It’s not like history is on our side as a club that gets their business done in a prompt and efficient way and it’s embarrassing for all concerned.

No chance - we are the only (so called) big european club interested in signing sesko, and yet we are supposed to believe that he is the guy to fire us to glory in the future ?? Meanwhile several big clubs are vying for gyokeres signiture but he isnt good enough for us

Arsenal will pay a total of around €65m (£55m) for Martin Zubimendi, more than his release clause — which is in the region of €60m (£51m) — after agreeing with Real Sociedad to pay for his transfer in instalments.
Coming to this agreement, after months of negotiation, enables Arsenal to avoid paying the release clause in one lump sum.

Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
Rumours about Gyökeres not being happy with Sporting, apparently there was a gentleman's agreement that he could leave at a price lower than his actual release clause ,but now theyve apparently gone back on that and are looking for the full release clause to be paid.
That could explain why there isn't more clubs in for him ,we know we're linked and utd and maybe Chelsea, but surely other big clubs around Europe would also be interested.
