ALL Transfer talk - merged thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

The victims and the chavs are not really linked with sesko and even the papers today said that the chavs were "loosely linked" with him - in other words not really linked with him. We do know that they and manure and some european clubs are linked with gyokeres, but our link to him seems to have died a death - I dont know if he is the answer, but I am confident in my belief that sesko certainly isnt the answer

Any proper look at Gyokeres shows he is a penalty king. He also scores scruffy goals where the keeper looks pretty suspect.

Do you know what I read there ........ he scores goals and lots of them. Sesko scored 13 league goals last season and 14 the year before - havertz can do that without wasting another £70m ffs. Anyway I still stand by my belief that as long as captain coward is our attacking midfielder then it doesnt matter who is our striker cos he'll be pissed off waiting for the disappearing c.unt to release the ball to him

There’s a bloke in my local pub league that scored 70 goals this season. Shall we sign him??

Gykores has flopped at 3 different clubs in english football which included lower leagues!
Sesko at 21 looks a class act, but maybe more a number 10!

Lads it’s going to be a long torturous summer, so please for the love of fuck will you all do me one small favour?

Please please PLEASE……DO NOT lose your shit every time BigBaz40971 links us to a player on twatter. It’s all fucking bullshit

I can’t cope with people having 4 thousand aneurysms fretting over the 4 thousand players we’re going to be linked with but never had any intention of signing.
Just for a bit of Fun and Light Relief (Oooh! Missis  :-P ) And to (Hopefully) Try and help us all (and Rodders  ) Not suffer said aneurysm/s and with only Two Games left of this Very, Very disappointing and Frustrating Season (again  ). Although we have no say or idea of who they might or will bring in

We All know we need the transfer equivalent of a severe clear-out of the Bowels BUT whom do or rather can we (Realistically) get rid of:

Perhaps it might ease the Tension, Anger and Frustration if we could each choose 5 Players that definitely Must Go if any progress of any kind is to be made (Of course the best person to remove would be Arteta, but sadly that is Not going to happen). So what players from the Current Squad (Listed Below) MUST be Flushed ASAP:

*** We know that Tierney is going back to Celtic, sad but inevitable with his injury record. Jorginho is leaving by agreement. And we can assume Neto and Sterling will be fucked off back to whence they came (At least I fucking well hope so!)

So; choose your 5 (5 Only Please!) who need ( not those rumoured to be going, but those who in your opinion need to be Gone this window :

Just put an Asterisk (*) next to their name:

First Squad Members:

Raya
Saliba
White
Gabriel
Timber
Tomiyasu
Kiwior
Calafiori
Zinchenko
Partey
Odegaard
Rice
Saka
Martinelli
Havertz
Trossard
Jesus
-
Nwaneri
Lewis-Skelly
(Both are still considered Academy players)

I think we can exclude those who are (Still) out on loans hopefully they will be automatically 'Let Go' or perhaps used as part of the wage reductions which Berta is (apparently) very good at ?):

Hein (GK)
Tavares
Vieira
Lakonga
Nelson
Marquinos

Tin Hat On I'll go first

Raya
Saliba
White
Gabriel
Timber
Tomiyasu *
Kiwior
Calafiori *
Zinchenko *
Partey *
Odegaard
Rice
Saka
Martinelli
Havertz
Trossard
Jesus *
And we are STILL Waiting for our first signing...

For the past 3 seasons every Gooner was crying out for a goal scoring striker - I really cannot understand how some of these same fans are now happy to sign a striker with the scoring rate of havertz    If havertz didnt get injured last season he was on course to score around 14 or 15 goals in the league, and everyone said that wasnt a good enough rate for a team aiming to win trophies - can someone please explain to me what has changed in that argument ? I get that people can make the argument that sesko is only 22 years old, so are we saying that we expect saka and saliba to be patient for another 2 or 3 seasons whilst this kid matures and maybe develops into a 20+ league goals a season guy ? Will the cone boy be allowed another season or two like this one before he gets the bullet ? Clubs like ourselves obviously need to have one eye on the future, but after 5 trophyless seasons I'm not sure that we as a club can survive on this path without imploding if we dont show these players that they can win with us now. It is one thing to take a gamble on a striker that has showed that he can score goals in a lower level league than the one he will now be playing in, but to me it is a completely different scenario to take a gamble on a striker that has never been prolific so far in his career - what have we got to base our trust in him on ?

Again I will say that osimhen would be my first choice by a country mile - a guy who is a proven scorer at every level and who can make a difference from day one. It isnt that I fully believe in gyokeres but more that I rate him higher than sesko

Osimhen wants probably triple the wages that Sesko wants.

And as I keep saying no decent clubs linked with him at all.

Must be a reason for that

Osimhen doesnt seem to be our radar anyway so this is probably a moot point, but osimhen has turned down two saudi clubs cos he wants to play in the premier league - if money was his motivation, then he would have gone to saudi league

A complete total utter catastrophe of a summer transfer window without a single solitary signing

I was expecting signings the moment the window opened

5th place finish I think behind Liverpool City Chelsea and whoever buys gyokores :x

Great levels of naïveté on this thread. Osimhen will want £350k a week. David from Lille wants the same £350k as he is on a free. Nico Williams. £400k I hear. As soon as you put a player on that money then the entire wage bill will balloon as players agitate for a raise.

And ourselves and two saudi clubs are the only one's linked to sesko - must be a reason for that too ? :rubchin: :rubchin:
