ALL Transfer talk - merged thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

🚨⤵️ Sporting CP have given Viktor #Gyökeres the assurance that he will be allowed to leave in the summer for €60–70 million! As exclusively revealed in October 2024 and now confirmed by his agent Hasan Cetinkaya! 🇸🇪

Worlds first lactose intolerant football club
Lactozette on a friesian transfer you say??
If we may park the milk puns for a moment, Lacazette is actually the perfect example of why we should proceed with extreme caution when it comes to that lad who scores for fun against part time Portuguese taxi drivers.

Lacazette was top scorer in the Ligue 1, came over here and was bang average before going back to Lyon and scoring for fun again against piss poor opposition.

I really hope we don’t make the same mistake again.
So Rodders who realistically do you want to bring in ? I am at the stage where either one at this stage would be acceptable , as we cannot have this dragging on longer without a recognised striker. I think the fat that we apparently met Gyoykeres agents in London this week shows we are not just relying on one player. Fingers crossed.

I've done a u turn to the point that I would rather spend £150m on an injury prone isak, than take a risk on either gyokeres or sesko

I don't feel any excitement about either Gyokeres or Sesko and agree about Isak. It's not as if there's a lot of strikers about to choose from.

All the divisions below the PL have strikers and they all score goals. Maybe we should look at a couple from there and take a gamble. It'd be a cheaper option and less costly.

Literally any striker would score goals. We make plenty of chances.

I think the same. Merino managed to get quite a few when he played there so anyone who is a natural striker should score plenty.

Whoever we get will be under immense pressure from the start as every kick of the ball will be judged. Here's to us making a good decision and the player settling in quickly without too much grief from the media.

I’d rather spend £95-100 million on Lautaro Martínez, honestly.
