Literally any striker would score goals. We make plenty of chances.
I think the same. Merino managed to get quite a few when he played there so anyone who is a natural striker should score plenty.

But yet havertz and jesus would never score 20+ league goals a season for us :rubchin:

Jesus either never plays due to formation or is injured. He’s also crap. Havertz is not a striker is he?

Viktor Gyökeres prefers a move to the Premier League, and would welcome an Arsenal bid, as @Record_Portugal reported.

Arsenal still deciding between Benjamin Sesko and Gyökeres. Andrea Berta simultaneously advancing both deals.

Gyökeres would be open to Manchester United. There has been no formal rejection, but a deal to date has also never been at an advanced stage, despite suggestions.

United have not made any formal approach to Sporting. Swedish striker one of several striker options discussed for #MUFC.

Gyökeres believes he'll still be allowed to leave Sporting for €70m.

Arsenal have always been one to watch, but it will depend on Berta now because he is also in ongoing talks for Sesko at the same time, with a bid for one of the two targets expected soon.

Gyökeres is going to give priority to Premier League clubs despite having firm Saudi interest and a growing number of European suitors.🇸🇪

Just tell them we're taking their players, ask them what they want then pay it plus another 5m each to make sure it goes through quickly then play gyokores uo top and sesko on the left and bench that waste of time Martinelli

Fuck me I bet Sesko and Gyokeres themselves are bored shitless of these daily rumours like most of us are.

Someone will still need to point out the logic to me of not getting these deals nailed within the first couple of the days of the window opening.

What a fucking boring saga ffs. Just get it done or go and buy someone else

After all the talk of needing a striker......would not be surprised if we dont sign one....maybe another winger?

I'm seriously starting to wonder if we might sign BOTH Gyokeres and Sesko? We need two strikers, after selling Eddie, we have always needed two. Yes Isak would be great, even at 150m but he will be injured a lot, guaranteed, and then we are back with Havertz or Merino and we just can't risk that. I wonder if we will announce a double signing at the same time?
I'd be happy with that to be honest!

It is just fucking Embarrassing. We Gooners have to put up with enough Banter & Shyte as it is.... But our Club / Owners/ Managers just seem incapable of making a Decision and acting upon it and getting it DONE!

Yes I wouldn’t be surprised by this but then I wouldn’t be surprised if Chelsea stepped in and bought both .

Maybe Chelsea will pay big transfer fees, but they aren’t going to pay huge salaries that blow rivals out of the water.

Their salary costs are coming down, but they are prepared to offer longer term contracts.

That’s been our problem the last couple of seasons though isn’t it? Havertz is an attacking midfielder and Jesus is constantly injured and can play anywhere across the front 3. An actual striker who only plays that one position will get lots of chances created for them. Anyone who is half decent and a natural finisher would score plenty.
