AUGUST
Sun 17 Manchester United (A)
Sat 23 Leeds United (H)
Sat 30 Liverpool (A)

SEPTEMBER
Sat 13 Nottingham Forest (H)
Sat 20 Manchester City (H)
Sat 27 Newcastle United (A)

"The Fix" as they say Is Already In....

Then of course we will have the Bent PGMOL & Dodgy VAR Decisions Go Against Us... One of Our Players will be Red Carded for sneezing near one of the officials, then Lo And Behold! That Rule will then disappear... Arteta will be Sanctioned for waving his hands too many times on the Touch-line.
But of course Pep will kick the holy Shit out of the seats in his Dug-Out (Again) and nothing will be done, whilst Slutt will call the Ref a Cheating Cūnt for awarding a Throw In the wrong way and the Ref will wag his finger at him whilst saying:

'Aww! C'mon mate I know you made a Very Generous Donation to my Retirement Fund just before Kick-Off, but I can't give every decision your way or someone might think there's something un-toward going on (wink! wink!)... Look calm down, Cootes is serving 6 Years Hard Labour in Belmarsh for insulting your previous manager and very good friend, so we have to tread lightly for now... Look I'll buy you a drink after the game then we can make arrangements for what decisions you want when I Referee your next game. wink wink!

At which Slutt will pretend to apologise and the game will go ahead as planned with the Scouse Filth getting 2 penalties in their favour, whilst the opposition get a player Sent Off for breathing on Salah...

Yup! THE FIX IS IN

Those fixtures take us to the end of September and unless we make some very significant signings this summer, then 7 points from 18 looks very possible.

Arteta could be under real pressure come October. Still, who am I trying to kid, he'll likely be under no more pressure than the Old Fraud was in 2012.

Well what a fkin shocker. Well last season we were 5 pts behind quickly due to stupid sending offs etc . Makes you wonder if this will effect the spending this summer , or will they settle for a top 6 finish and not blow all of the cash.

You cant blame Arteta for the fixture list and neither would the board.

That sounds like building excuses in nice and early. I'm not blaming him for the fixture list, I'm just expecting him to deal with whatever games we face. Unfortunately, my expectations of the results from those games would be no different wherever they fell in the list of fixtures. Crying about the fixture list is a losers mentality and sadly it's what so many of our supporters have come to.

In my opinion, Arteta shouldn't still be at the club and no other "big" club would still have him on board after the last 5 1/2 years. Still, I'm sure you're right, the board will sit on their hands, just as they did with Wenger.

Beyond the fact we have a very good record against the big teams, these days, I’d rather play the, early before they get into a stride.

United we could beat.

Leeds shouldn’t be a problem.

Liverpool will be a test but, again, we’ve been standing up to them recently.

If we want to win the league we need, at least, 10 points on the board before we face City in September. We’re capable of doing it, but we need GOOD new additions.

And actually your expectations for those games in the last two years has been proved to be totally wrong. Is it two seasons of not losing to a top 6 side ?
Look you hate Arteta i get that , you hated wenger and no doubt you hate me too. If we were top after 6 games no doubt it would be inspite of Arteta too.

In which case all good, no point anyone getting worked up about the fixtures. 14 or 15 points from those games would be an acceptable return and I hope we can achieve at least that. We'll see.

As for "hate", it's the most over-used words in recent years. Considering Arteta not to be good enough to manage the Arsenal...and having 5 years on non achievement to back up that opinion...does not mean I "hate" him. As a character, I can't warm to the bloke at all, but again, that's not hate.

I came to despise Wenger for the lying, conniving, self-serving charlatan that he turned out to be, but hate? No. As i said, it's a word which trips too easily off the tongue in contemporary times.

As for you, well, you made an absolutely vile and out of order post about me a while ago, having never previously exchanged opinions at all and if anything was hate filled, then that was as bad as anything I've seen on here. You don't agree with my opinions about players or management at the club, that's fine, that's what a forum is about and I'll discuss things with anybody without getting abusive. I will, of course, respond if someone abuses me.

Probably as safe as houses.

If that happens, I think you'll find that Shu's comment above will be the majority opinion of the supporters and the senior management. We don't hold our mangers to the same standards that the big clubs expect. If we did, Arteta wouldn't still be in the chair.
