ALL Transfer talk - merged thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

My name's Mikel and I'm addicted to west London shit.

Madueke is this windows offering...... Oh hang on, we've almost got Kepa..... But that's actually a good deal........
Madueke is ok, not great, but he's no better than Martinelli. We cannot replace like for like unless like=fucking amazing!! :banghead:

One bit he got completely wrong is the bit about Carpark-Foot Partey having had a good season last season. It's a myth in my opinion.

Yes, he wasn't as utterly shit every game as he was in every other season, but he still had as many shit games as good games (and probably slightly more shit games than good games).

And even in the games where we could say he played well, he often still made mistakes and pissed posession away.

So he had a less shit season than normal. Is that good enough? Not for me, it's not. Get rid.

Can you please stop with the rational analysis. Either that or find a new forum to officiate!!

Ps. I sometimes wonder if you’re my long lost Irish brother. I also often wonder the same about augie, but maybe that’s a step too far!!

Are you a bald delusional midget?!
Holy Fuck!!!!

Triplets!
Think you mean quads me ol charlie (allegedly)....or do you still have hair?! ;)
No! Triplets just sounded Better... Kinda rolls of the tongue like Vadge Juice... But Augie is the Classic Only Child, so that excludes him... and so it is DB, Retro and You...

Fuck me. One can only hope this is the same contrived bullshit as the rumours about the quality players we're linked with.*

Arsenal believe the price of Gyokeres is too high considering his age and £75m for Sesko is also considered very high for a player that hasn't proven himself and are now considering signing Ollie Watkins.

Doesn't anyone at the club realise that nobody really gives a fucking shit whether or not they think a player is overpriced. Either pay it or don't. If you need that type of player, fucking pay it. Gyokeres is 27, Watkins is 29. What's the difference in asking price then that makes one overpriced at 27 but not overpriced at 29? And couldn't we have signed Watkins a few years ago for a lot less money?

No other club operates the way we do. It’s fucking shocking how bad we are at transfers.

My question is, IF this team are only a top striker away from winning trophies (as everyone would have you believe  ), then why are we even considering a player that isnt proven at the highest level (sesko) regardless of what the price is ??? Does the dickhead cone boy expected this team to stay together for another 2 or 3 years waiting for any striker to mature/develop ??? I continue to say that there is a serious flaw in our plans and the contractions are too numerous to mention. For past few years I listened/read comments from brainless c.unts spout nonsense about how the cone boy and edu were brilliant in their transfer business, and then edu's departure gave those same c.unts a convenient scapegoat to blame for last summers shambles, but who are they going to blame for this transfer window if it keeps going the way it is ?

I find it fucking hilarious that a bunch of owners who spunked away countless millions on all the shite they have over the years can say anyone is overpriced ffs
