Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
Arsenal have agreed personal terms with Noni Madueke following talks the past few days and a call from Arteta reported by @siphillipssport
The fee is now key to any deal being done.
My understanding is this transfer is not linked to the future of Nwaneri which will be explained in due course.

Just turned 23. Bags of potential. Speed merchant. Explosive.
He’s a rotation option. This is like the Kepa signing. You go young, hungry, with a point to prove - or experienced. You aren’t landing a prime talent who will demand to start.
I’d rather have players who take a chance on themselves. It shows character. Like it does to leave Spurs to go to Holland as a teenager.
Also, nonsense anecdotal observation: He always does well against Arsenal. I’m not going to turn my nose up at a young English player who dares to compete with Saka. That’s bold, it should be applauded. Sesko bottled competing with Kai.
Solid move. Could be spectacular. At worst, he’s a chaos merchant off the bench; at best, Arteta turns his potential into something more lethal.

If we lose nwaneri then I'm done. Seriously best talent we have had. Better than MLS and saka in potential
I dont like his surely body language, but maybe that's just me picking up an attitude that isn't there, but if we lose him then seriously I'm done
Even more so if it's because of signing yet another chav reject
Madueke would be ok for free. Like havertz would have been.
The manager hasn't a fucking clue if this is genuine.
We need an area out campaign if this comes to pass
Actually sickening

And I was laughed out of here several days ago when I told you Madueke in. Nwaneri out.

No idea who Bobby P is.
I know someone who knows someone who works at Chelsea.

I haven't read anything by that twat for years. Like John Cross, I'd forgotten he existed. Spent years defending Wanker and telling everyone they were wrong until the mood completely turned and he made out like he wanted him gone before anyone else. I stopped reading any of that fan boy drivel years ago after it was clear that they had all been wined and dined by the club and were given freebies and sweetners to make sure they stuck to the toxic positivity. Fucking gaslighting drivel.the playing mantis wrote: ↑Sat Jul 05, 2025 8:33 pmLe grove is an utter company man *word censored*. Been saying that for weeks.

I always thought the username Limerick Gooner was a bit on the nose, given the reason BobbyP was banned in the first place.

Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
Seems some people conveniently forget the facts. It was public knowledge that last season Arteta said he sees Nwaneri's future through the middle, as a no 10 or 8, NOT a backup to Saka! The main reason Nwaneri is refusing to sign a new contract is because he wants guaranteed game time and a path to being first team first choice player. How does signing Madueke help that negotiation? It doesn’t does it? Madueke is Nwaneri’s replacement
Signing the Chav headband wearer would be cover for Saka/Martinelli, not a replacement for Nwaneri. Nwaneri himself said he understood why he didn't play much towards the end of the season, he's just turned 18 ffs.

Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
With all the toxicity that rears its head over our constant signing of Chelsea rejects, none of which ever work out, it now looks as though we’ll be signing two this summer. It’s as though our club always want to rub our noses in it and the more we complain, the more they’ll do it.
Even though I don’t rate Kepa, I can accept signing him, given the fee and that he’s second string.
As for Madueke, on what planet does it make any fucking sense?? From the little I’ve seen of him…and it’s not much…he seems like a headless chicken and has done nothing to make me think he’s a bloke we need. In fact, just looked him up on Wiki and in his 5 seasons in the first team at PSV and Chelsea, he’s made 118 appearances and they’re clearly not all as a starter. He scores something like 1 every 5 games.
So tell me, in an average of 20 odd appearances every season (many of which seem to be off the bench) what exactly has Lego Head seen that he thinks we need?! Still, he saw something in Havertz that no one else had ever seen…trouble is, we’ve still never fucking seen it.
I can only hope this Nwaneri rumour is wrong, but if he signs Madueke and sells Nwaneri to Chelsea, or to anyone tbh, then he’ll need sacking immediately. Even if we keep Nwaneri, he’ll be behind Madueke in the pecking order. As others have said, if Arteta does this, then the boy needs to leave for the good of his career. They’ll be lining up to buy him and we’ll be waving goodbye to a talent that could go to the very top.
