As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
Apologies DB... But knew if I put this in the Cannonballlls no one would see it:
If anyone has Drogon TV they are showing the Concert LIVE in it's entirety (in the same way the Beeb show Glastonbury Live!)
Anthrax are on
ROCKING!
The all-day Back to the Beginning event at Villa Park in Birmingham on Saturday will feature Metallica, Slayer, Halestorm, Lamb Of God, Anthrax and Mastodon among many others. Metallica were quick to post a photo of lead singer James Hetfield on what has become the iconic Black Sabbath Bridge
It was TRULY Sad to see Ozzy unable to stand on his own... He did his Solo stint sat in some kind of Black Leather Throne...
Metallica were Excellent... some other good Mixed Bands of Famous players etc were Okay. Gun's & Roses were Awful... Axl wotsit & Slash barely acknowledging one another... Sabbath only did 4 / 5 songs... sad to see again. I know we're all getting older or ARE Old but fuck me some of the states on some.... Aerosmith's Steve Tyler was like a skeleton dressed in saggy flesh.. ... But one of the 'Mix' bands with him singing did an epic version of 'Walk This Way'...
Still All Proceeds to Very Good Causes... (Tickets were from £2,000 VIP part down to £200.. with the Prolls)
I'm just glad I saw Sabbath when they were (also) Young and at their peak...
There are loads of Fan Video's on You Tube of the various acts but all done on Mobile Phones.. so the film & sound quality is very poor..
Black Sabbath went out with a bang on Saturday night at what the band said would be its final gig.
As they played one of their most-recognisable songs, Iron Man, fans sang along with lead singer Ozzy Osbourne at Villa Park in Birmingham.
Ozzy, 76, who has Parkinson's disease, sang while seated on a black throne - encouraging the crowd to sing louder, and pulling wild-eyed looks, just like old times.
Apologies DB... But knew if I put this in the Cannonballlls no one would see it:
No worries OneBard mate. I'll leave it here for a few days and then move it to the basement.
Been a Sabs fan since I was a kid. Loved both versions, Ozzy and RJD. Even liked Gillen with them!!
And I absolutely loved the two Ozzy albums with Randy Rhoads and the the two with Jake E Lee - two of my favourite guitarists and massive influences on my own playing.
