Obviously I’ve no idea if the Sporting President is lying, or if it’s the agent, which would never surprise me.

Either way, put yourselves in Sporting’s shoes. This saga has dragged on for weeks and appears to be about 5m (maybe 10m…I’ve read differing versions) paid up front or in add-ons. So, while we’re haggling over something like 7-8% of what the total would be and generate bad blood, Sporting then see us go and splash 52m on a Chelsea reject, who cost the chavs 30m, has done nothing while there and no one else seems to want. On top of that, there are no stories of low balling and we seemingly agreed the fee without a second thought.

52m just like that, while trying to screw the Portuguese for some slippery 5m add-on or whatever. If I was Sporting, I’d say 80m fixed, or fuck off and I’d stick Gyokeres in the reserves.

It’s nothing new now, but how many of us would have thought it would become an embarrassment to support the Arsenal?! :banghead:
All down to one man which was wonga, years and years later his philosophy is still infecting the club and will continue to do so as long as legohead is in charge. 4th place is a trophy, im sorry he didnt cost 50 million and so on and so forth.

Arsene Wenger is a fucking cancer that still hasnt left the club alone coming up just short of 10 years after he left, and they appointed a complete beginner in legohead who also had the cut price philosophy from the off, didnt legohead forgo some payment or other to force his move to arsenal on the trolley dash with his medical being done over the phone by all accounts. Berta is just this years version of Dick Law who oversaw the trolley dash. We are an embarassment when it comes to transfers and i wouldnt blame any club for not wanting to deal with us id say its fucking torture!!

Seriously you think a very successful businessman like Kronke relies on Wenger philosophy.

All the evidence suggests it doesn’t it? The Kroenkes know fuck all about football and happily allowed Wenger to run the club as he pleased.

His philosophy has been adopted by Mkll and the Kroenkes are allowing him to carry on in the same self-harming fashion.
Exactly... They know fuck all about 'Football', business yes.. Total Cut-throats, but as long as the Fans keep renewing their ST's/VIP Boxes etc and the Tourists keep buying the Merchandise  ... And them Dollars keep a Rolling in... They just sit back and Bask in their steady & ever increasing Wealth...

Also it is worth noting that Arteta and Josh Krankie are BIG Buddies. So arteta can tell him whatever he likes when it comes to Football, the Process, the Project or whatever and they let him do things His Arrogant way... And he (Arteta) Doesn't have that special kind of Honesty and Self-awareness to admit (publicly) that he's wrong or fucking up and so he'll Never Step Down...

Basically we are Fucked. :banghead:

Understand Sporting have told Gyökeres this morning they expect him back at training tomorrow, but the Swedish striker is refusing. Urgency to resolve the situation quickly now from all sides.🇸🇪
I can just see our bid being hijacked, and him going to one of our rivals,it would sum this club up in a heartbeat
Absolutely what is likely to happen. Our transfer dept are a fucking disgrace not only to us but to football in general.

Club: The fee is £35m
Arsenal: Ok, I have 13p and some fluff from my belly button. It's red, not the normal blue colour so you know it's rare.
Club: ...... errrrr £35m
Arsenal: Ok, ok. Look, a button fell off my jacket earlier. I was going to get it sewn back on but I'll throw that in too. Don't tell anyone! They will all ask for buttons.
Club: £35m
Arsenal. No can do. I have to spunk loads on some chelsea shit. It's in my contract.

I have it good authority that this is Arteta's actual bartering technique.

I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest!

Just read an article here in the States that Kroenke now has the most succesful sporting franchise in the US, if not the world. Maybe 2nd only to F1...... but still currently worth $21b. I really do not understand why he allows this crap to go on....its been like this for over a decade. People might say, he's not interested in "soccer". I don't agree, he's a businessman and Arsenal is one of his businesses.......he should step in and bring the hammer down, and tell them to GET IT DONE!!
We are an absolute embarrassment.

I said over a month ago that this would happen and some knob on here called me a troll. These embarrassing shennanigans in the transfer market have become synonomous with the club. And this obsession with Chav casts offs.....wtf is that about???? I can't even picture helmet head without the red mist descending :cussing: :cussing:

On every level it's a ***** signing.

Giving chavs money
Costing far to much
Not being a good player
Pushing out far better players nwaneri
Costing us precious money

It just stinks

What's evening more annoying these absolutely shit bits no one wants other than artwata we never haggle and drag on we just spunk way too much on them and it's done.

It's sickening
And yet the deals we really need we dick about and take months to do. We are absolutely desperate for a striker and then a left wing upgrade (and a ohdeagard upgrade but that ain't happening) we are taking an age to sign a striker and probably won't, yet wrap up a deal for a player we don't need in any capacity and is shit quickly and efficiently paying far to much.

It's really disgusting

Even wneger didn't do this. Yes he bought a load of cheap shite but he never spunked big money on a complete unnecessary project players. Arteta has done it twice now.

If we don't do the rest of the business we need, striker and left wing then this is it. Even the cretins who claim to be super fans and claim to be the ones at games, cannot hide anywhere.

Sad thing is we are back to at least 2 years of failure at least before this *word censored* fucks off.

Club is fucked with arteta

Always look on the bright side of life
Always look on the light side of life
If life seems jolly rotten
There's something you've forgotten
And that's to laugh and smile and dance and sing
When you're feeling in the dumps
Don't be silly chumps
Just purse your lips and whistle, that's the thing
And
Always look on the bright side of life

We have dramatically overpaid for Madueke....
When we're throwing the cash around like this, should just pay Sporting what they want
they certainly agreed quick enough....could not have been much haggling over the price.... £52 MILLION is being reported
I'd say Chelsea wanted the deal done quickly before we realised we were being mugged.

We never ever realise we are being mugged. Not even after the bloke inevitably turns out to be a monumental flop. In fact that's the signal to double down and make him the first name on the team sheet.

Madueke if he signs will be the 6th signing from the chavs in the last 7 years......strange we are helping a rival club unload players they deemed as not good enough for them :rubchin:

There has been a £23m rise in Madueke's valuation since he joined Chelsea in 2023. What is that based on? The money is being used to fund an upgrade for the selling club.
I have nothing against this player, how could I ? I can't remember anything he has ever done in his football career. Up to the stories linking him with a move to Arsenal he was just another name of a Chelsea player among the seemingly endless list of Chelsea players.
So I don't hate him, I would be delighted and surprised if he hit the ground running for Arsenal, but I question (a) why are Arsenal buying him? and (b) what has inflated his price so much in the two plus seasons at Chelsea?.
There was a rumour some years back when PSG paid an alleged £50m for David Luiz.. The rumour was that PSG paid £10m and Abramovich paid £40m to PSG to sign him , so for PSR ( or whatever it was called then) it would look like a straight £50m transfer fee, where what it was in reality was a £10m transfer fee and a £40m investment back into Chelsea by it's owner, all designed to circumnavigate rules. Obviously that rumour was never substantiated, but it gets you thinking.
There is two fold anger among Arsenal fans, firstly will this signing impact the actual signings we need? and two , why always Chelsea?

:barscarf: We need a top 10 useless chav signings.

Here's mine:

10 Kai Havertz. 60 million down the drain? Not quite. He has at times been a decent ersatz striker. But still not worth what we paid.

9 Jorginhho. Like a few on this list, he had been a pretty valuable player for them - and Italy - back in the day but those days were in the rear view mirror by the time he arrived at Arsenal.

8. William Gallas. Integral part of the first Mourinho title-winning side, alongside John Terry. Looked ok for a while when we got him, and Wenger thought enough of him to make him captain. You'd think he probably regretted it after Willy G went full Rachel Reeves at Birmingham. What a leader.

7. Kepa. Relatively high on this list as he is (I hope) only being signed as a reserve keeper and did ok with Bournemouth last year. Can't do any damage.....you'd think! (come back on that when he drops one in the net against the Chavs in a cup final!)

6. Yossi Benayoun. Who? Israeli international. Surely Tottenham? No, do keep up.... we signed him on loan from the Chavs for 2011/12. According to one account "his influence helped Arsenal finish third and qualify for the Champions' League". A trophy winner, then!

5. Petr Cech. Ah....Helmet Head. Seriously good keeper for a decade with the Chavs, but for whatever reason he was distinctly meh when he was offloaded to us. Conceded 4 in a Europa League final....can't remember offhand who we were playing.

4 Lassana Diarra. Again...who? Apparently Wenger signed him from the Chavs in 2007 and he played 7 league games before we moved him on to Portsmouth.

3. Willian. Another who had won two Premier Leagues with Chelsea and you wouldn't have said no to him when they beat Tottenham to sign him. We couldn't get a tune out of him, but curiously Fulham did for a while when he left us.

2. David Luiz. Sideshow Bob probably wasn't the worst player on this list, but he was arguably the most over-rated. Complete show-pony who was easily out-muscled. Just what you want from a centre back.

1. Raheem Sterling. Yes, he was only on loan for half a season, and the Chavs paid half of his 350k a week wages during that time. That should have told us how desperate they were to get him off their wage bill. He is now their problem again, with reports suggesting they will have to pay 20 million to terminate his contract if they can't find another mug to take him off their hands.

Madwanka will have to go some to knock Sterling off the top of my chart....but at 52 million the bar will be set pretty low!
