Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread

Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
possibly 6 players in before pre season to get them integrated in the team not a last day trolly dashaugie wrote: ↑Mon Jul 14, 2025 7:33 amgazzatt2 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 14, 2025 7:04 amwelcome back Nuttynut flush gooner wrote: ↑Mon Jul 14, 2025 4:45 amThat's a bit of a conspiracy theory tbh, its a lot of money to drop if the aim was to placate the fan base. There are external factors too such as Gyok effectively giving his own money to reduce the transfer fee and his agent. They are nothing to do with Arsenal, and this could have dragged on if something didn't give. I understand why people would think in this way, but at the end of the day we got the most prolific striker in Europe for a similar price to that we paid for Auba.Retro Gunner wrote: ↑Sun Jul 13, 2025 10:55 pmOneBardGooner wrote: ↑Sun Jul 13, 2025 7:35 pm
Am I being bad minded or have the club (finally) agreed to Sporting's demands partly to distract our attention from the Fact that the Madueke signing was getting far more negativity than they'd envisaged? From what I have seen on the various media platforms the majority of Gooners are slagging off the club! (So it's not just us!)![]()

Interesting observation OBG. You might well be on to something.
Madueke is a shocking signing, but as a squad player he does offer more than Sterling. I am not happy its cost us £50m for the privilege though.
if Madueke was signed at the end of the window there would have been virtually no fuss other than the club he was coming from
best transfer window in a long time
Based on what exactly ??? As of this minute we have signed ONE PLAYER (zubi) who can be classed as a starting 11 player, and the other 3 signings (kepa, norgaard and chav reject) are squad fillers, and that to you equates as the best transfer window in a long time ??
2 starting players
the other 4 are better than squad fillers improving the depth of the suqad

Has anyone ever failed a medical with us? It can't be that difficult to pass them, seeing us we once signed a bloke with a broken back.
Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
I’m away at the moment and was chatting to 2 chavski lads last night, my gooner tattoos are a dead giveaway to my openness to chat football.
They were mixed on maduke, one was saying he didn’t do enough at Chelsea in the time he had and then the other reckoned given more of a chance he could have made something of himself.
Either way the 2 of them reckoned we were in better shape than they were.
Several pints of estrella were under consumption so I can’t be quoted but I’m quite sure I managed to underhandedly suggest their club were pure scum

Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
Arsenal’s focus after Viktor Gyökeres is formalised is finding an attacking midfielder.
Eberechi Eze talks will continue this week with #AFC set to make a formal approach to Crystal Palace.
#AFC want to understand if a deal is possible away from Eze’s release clause.

Bayern Munich are now focusing on Leandro Trossard after their €52m bid for Luis Díaz was rejected by Liverpool. The Arsenal winger has emerged as a top target, with contract talks stalling at the Emirates. #Bayern #Arsenal #Trossard #Diaz #Liverpool #Bundesliga #PremierLeague #Transfers #Mercato #FCBayern #AFC
