As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
Arsenal remain very active in the Eberechi Eze deal. The club are even willing to pay the release clause, but to stay within Financial Fair Play rules, Berta and the board are working hard to structure a multi-payment agreement. Work is ongoing to get the deal done.

I so hope we do sign Eze for me he would be an Awesome signing; providing Captain Black doesn't coach his Natural Ability to Skin Defenders and strike a Ball Beautifully from anywhere on the pitch within 40 yards of the Oppo's goal !
I keep seeing comments (BBC, Sly etc) That there could be a Player Swap deal in the offing as Arsenal look to reduce the amount they are spending on transfers (in other words get Eze and Off-load one of the dead woods like Zinchenko)... Now THAT would be a fuckin' RESULT!
Arteta certainly been given financial backing.....his track record on signing players is mixed and to be fair that chav signing at £53 million is ridiculous....
Kepa ok...Brentford guy as a squad member understandable, to give some depth to squad.....just hope with the chav signing he dont keep Nwaneri out of the side....he needs game time
if we get Eze it would be a decent transfer dealing ...barring helping the chavs unload their surplus
SSN reporting that there is talk in Portugal that the Gyokeres deal could collapse due to differences over the add ons.
yes.... seems still to be finalised...Record claim that Arsenal and Sporting are struggled to reach an agreement over add-ons, and that the stand-off could result in the deal collapsing.
FFS just get it done you useless over paid fuckers......

I cant blame sporting for quibbling every cent, they see us spend 50mil on chavreject8 and then try haggle them over relative pennies.
Like playing poker when you can see everyone’s hand.

We’re pure cringe in our way of doing business
Yep, I made this very point a few days ago. We spend 52m without a second thought on a Chelsea flop that they paid 30m for 2 yrs ago. Yet we’re constantly haggling with Sporting over loose change, for a player we’ve been tracking for a year or more.
If I were Sporting I’d be saying pay up or fuck off. I’m sure Chelsea will sell you Nicholas Jackson if you ask nicely.
Bayern Munich submit official bid to sign Luis Diaz from Liverpool. #FCBayern proposal worth €67.5m; rejected immediately today. #LFC value at €100m+ but informed suitors no plans to sell. Colombia int’l has made clear he wants to leave @TheAthleticFC
Couldn't see them going for Eze if this signing comes off
Bottom line with Gyokeres is...............we're not mad on him. He's a decent player going for a decent sum (the figure we want to pay) and we like the deal at that price, but we don't see him as being a WOW, the same as we don't see Sesko as a WOW. So we're prepared to argue about a few million.
Isak is the only WOW and Newcastle don't want to sell, and won't....... unless someone offers 150m, and then they would bite your hand off. I don't think Arsenal are paying that for anyone.

Liverpool made a club to club approach with Newcastle to discuss record bid for Alexander Isak.
If Isak is NOT available, Liverpool could enter the Ekitike race.

Yet we give Chelsea a 66% profit and happily pay 52m for a bloke who is definitely not a WOW....he's a reject.
Surely that put's our haggling over 5m or so for Gyokeres into perspective. If you genuinely want a bloke who is costing around the 70m mark, then don't try bidding 65m and argue over add-ons and all sorts. If Arteta and Berta are not convinced he's worth 70m, then they shouldn't be spending 65m on him. They're arguing over 7.5%. If that really bothers our negotiators, then they can't be convinced he's our man.
Just re-read my previous post. Apologies if that sounds confrontational Tee Cee, it's not intended to be. I'm just pissed off at the way we go about things and seriously pissed off about the Madueke signing.

I think the vast majority of (regular) fans are mate...It's only those knobhead brainless plastic fans that are giving it any credibility....
I find it 'Astounding' that Eze is available for £65Million and we have actually gone and spunked away £52Million for someone (madawanka) who can't even lace his boots... I t's like stepping into an alternate universe where nothing makes any sense...
As some have said the madawanka signing could well be the Last Nail in Captain Blacks coffin

That's exactly it.
Given that we've got Kepa, Zubi, Norgaard and looking likely to get Mosquera (I know less than nothing about him), then if we landed Gyokeres and Eze, we'd all say it was a cracking transfer window and wouldn't really give a fuck about Madueke. However, until we've properly strengthened the front line, the Madueke signing will continue to stand out as a lunatic decision.
