EXCLU Chelsea have opened talks for Eberechi Eze while Arsenal are slow to conclude a deal. With a £68m release clause in place, the Blues could act fast and Arteta may miss out. #CFC #AFC #Eze #TransferNews #PremierLeague
as expected, flush with cash from flushing a turd they then go for the real deal
they've spent 2 billion on players over the last couple of seasons to be fair, I'm not sure they're going hand to mouth!
I could be wrong Rodders, but I think they needed to sell to be able to buy and keep within the regs.
To be honest though, the main point is that we've bought a Chelsea reject and blown 52m of the 68m required to trigger Eze's release clause. On no level does the Madueke signing make sense.
JUST IN: Mikel Arteta does not view Noni Madueke as a back up, Arsenal are very happy with the fee paid for Him, and are adamant that it will be seen as excellent business in a few years time. Mikel Arteta really pushed for the deal, believing he can thrive at Arsenal. [@charles_watts]

Cue meltdown
Good, I hope Arteta himself makes it very clear it was his decision. That will stop the fan boys blaming Berta if Madueke flops.
How can he possibly be happy with the fee paid, when Chelsea paid 30m two years ago and now want him gone because he hasn’t made the grade?
The fact that he’s happy tells you all you need to know about Lego Head and he’d be saying he’s happy if he’d blown 100m on the bloke, because he’s an arrogant fucker who likes to tell us plebs that he knows best. Just as he proved with Havertz, Vieira, Jesus and countless other duds.
It’s looking likely that he’ll spend in excess of 200m this summer and that will take his total spend to a billion. Failure to win a major trophy next season must surely see him get the bullet.
Exc: Arsenal receive approach from Fulham over re-signing Reiss Nelson. Structure of the deal still to be finalised, but talks ongoing over potential loan.

A loan !!!!!!!!!!
Are we incapable of actually selling someone.
Just keep loaning until their contract runs out and they leave for nothing.
Very good !
However Fulham seem to want him , get in there and do a deal .
We have built a reputation for just rolling over.
Let's see how good Berta is about getting people out and getting money in for his purchases.
Problem is though hes had 2 hamstring injuries in the last 2 seasons, the last one cut his loan spell at Fulham short,so I'm presuming clubs might be wary of this,so might only be looking for a loan deal to see how it goes,he apparently has 2 yrs left on his contract .
Rodrygo to Chelsea is not on the cards. The Brazilian’s wage demands are considered too high, and the club has no intention of disrupting its salary structure. No move expected at this stage.

BREAKING: Sources close to Arsenal told SER that a deal for Rodrygo is very complicated.
It’s not ruled out completely, but the path to Arsenal seems to be closed.
Crystal Palace are open to a cash + swap deal with Arsenal involving Eberechi Eze and Leandro Trossard.

I might be very wrong here, but I suspect that moving trossard on wont be easy as he will be selective as to where he will go, and I cant see him agreeing to join palace

Palace play European football this season and Trossard is a guaranteed starter for them. Appease him financially and I wouldn’t say it would be beyond the realms of possibility. However, I doubt Transfersdotcom hold sufficient credibility.
