ALL Transfer talk - merged thread

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

🚨 EXCLUSIVE:

Viktor Gyökeres is currently working 1 on 1 with a personal trainer with a specific program designed by Arsenal FC.

Arsenal have arranged a large home for him to move into once he's clear to do so by Sporting! 🫱🏻👁️👁️🫲🏻
Program designed by arsenal……torn hamstring incoming!!!!!!!
:D He'll fail the medical when he eventually comes to do it.

I know I am going out on a limb here, but can I say again that I think rashford at between £30m-£40m would be a good signing for us, and a much better signing than the chav at £52m - for starters we are talking about a lower transfer fee (although higher wages), but we are also talking about a player that has proven that they can play at the top level and just needs to get his head right again, but he is a left winger which is what everyone says we need. The chav reject is a right winger so either he is back up to saka (thus pushing nwanieri further from team) or we will be playing him in his wrong position.

I will also say that maeda from celtic on the left wing would be a good option too - extremely pacy and direct, plus cheaper than some of the other options we are linked with
Matron….Augie’s off his meds again 8)

Ohhh! Gawdy Lawdy! I hope it's not the same "Specific Program" that Jesus underwent; only to end up being continually crocked or the one that saw Calafiori out for the first 7 weeks of last season!

Can someone please ring Aston Villa FC and ask nicely if Oliver Watkins is available and can he fly to Hong Kong at short notice.
This Gyokeres thing is a shambles at this stage. It is an embarrassing shambles.

There are literally no metrics by which you can justify the speed in which the deal for the chav reject got done, as opposed to the delay in getting a striker deal done - I'm not talking specifically gyokeres but any striker given that yet again this summer it was seen as the number 1 priority in most peoples opinions (an upgrade in the number 10 position is still my priority mind), Like I have said all along, the deeper we go in the transfer window without getting in a striker, the more the pressure will build and selling teams will know that - I dont know if that is happening here with sporting lisbon taking the piss, but even if that is the case the blame lies squarely at the feet of the cone boy for not bringing in a quality striker in the last 5 seasons, so our club needs to suck it up and accept that we are going to have to pay a bounty and get the deal done. If the club feel that gyokeres is not worth the money sporting are looking for, then I suggest that we should walk away cos if he isnt worth £80m then he isnt good enough in the first place - when you step back and look around at the difference a top striker makes to teams then £80m is not massive money in today's football world, but this basque clown doesnt know what the fcuk he wants and hasnt a scooby on how to value players, plus as retro has said many times, he will probably be quite happy with havertz and jesus as his strikers again this season

At this stage the club need to either seal the deal today or walk away for good - tbf the player and his agent have done everything possible to get the deal over the line and deserve better treatment from us, so either get it done today or apologise to the player and tell them that it wont be done and allow the player to make it seem like he has walked away from us, Time to then move on to the next name on the list before every half decent striker is already gone from our list
