As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.
It was exciting times wasn't it , apart from a couple of little cups we were on the up !!! and the previous year was Andy Dibble ,Luton etc , i still have to turn the Danny Wilson song over on the radio although not the same chap.
I definitely agree on Brian Marwood he was a great player.
Ian Allison if only for the part he played in the famous 1987 semi final win against the tiny totts.
Not quite underrated but a special mention for Eduardo who, after such a horrific injury, never fully recaptured his initial sharpness. Prior that injury, he scored 12 goals, and had 8 assistants to his name in just half of his first season. The boy was mustard, and I genuinely believe he would have become world class.
We would have won the title that year. That injury ruined so much.

What a player Eduardo was. His career and our season destroyed by an act of thuggery , which at the time was not just condoned but actually encouraged by the media..Disregard any crocodile tears that the media had for Eduardo, they encouraged opposition to " kick Arsenal because they don't like it. "...Diaby, Eduardo and Ramsey were victims of that .

Absolutely true BWK. All of those challenges were totally unnecessary and in Diaby’s case, it ruined his career.
I know he always got stuck on here, but he could have been a top player for us and France. We were 2-0 up in that game, with about a minute left, when the fucker, whose name escapes me, did him deliberately and unnecessarily. He never recovered from that and had injury upon injury.
As you say, the media encouraged it all, with the “soft Arsenal don’t like it” bullshit. I always felt that Ferguson stirred that up with the other managers.
