Nwaneri has signed a five year deal, been all over the media a couple of weeks ago.augie wrote: ↑Mon Jul 28, 2025 3:05 pmArsenal Till I Die wrote: ↑Mon Jul 28, 2025 2:47 pmI must admit, signing Gyokeres has really perked me up for the season.
Signing Madueke has spoiled things a bit, I will admit; especially for the price we paid, but if we add Eze AND a left winger (Rafael Leão would be game changer) then we really would be in business!![]()
Me too - to the point that I would consider putting his name on the new jersey that I will buy (had stopped putting names on jersies cos few on here suggested that "older" fans shouldnt be doing that![]()
).
I will say though, that for me the success or failure of this window depends entirely on whether we get eze or not - with him (in the 10 position) and our attacking threat goes up massively imo even without a new left winger, but if we still have captain invisible "supplying" our front 3 this season, then it doesnt matter if we had prime pires, henry and freddie as our front 3 cos the supply line will be faulty
I know I said that I intend to try to cool my jets re the kid dowman, but fcuk me what a talent he is, and it makes the decision to sign the chav reject all the more baffling - yes I know he cant play premier league until he turns 16 (in December), but surely we have enough options to get us through until then ? Many of us were pissed last season at the way Nwanieri's game time was severely limited, but if this chav reject comes in and isnt playing well and is preventing Nwanieri and/or Dowman getting game time, then the cone boy will not see out this season cos the fans will revolt imo.
The more time goes by without announcing new contracts for saliba and nwanieri, the more concerned I am getting - yes I understand the need to get recruitments in fast, and the need to get rid of the dross too (not looking likely btw), but keeping our main players and prospects surely has to be a high priority too ??

It has NOT been officially announced by the club - if and when it is announced by the club, THEN it is fact but until then it is only rumours

If memory serves the idiot was strolling off when we were chasing the game and fans were urging him to get off after a terrible displayEC1 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 28, 2025 8:03 pmGet over it.the playing mantis wrote: ↑Mon Jul 28, 2025 7:23 pmEC1 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 28, 2025 6:46 pm137 caps for Switzerland, great contribution to Laverkusun, a very good good final season at Arsenal.
Was he a great player at Arsenal ? No
But unlike some I’d never call a Arsenal player a *word censored* etc
So many managers during his career seem to believe he had something to contribute.
So it's fine for the player to call the fans that and some...
I was in the stadium that day, and he was getting plenty of stick.
He gave some back, was he right, probably not.
I just don’t go around calling current or ex players c**ts.
If people want to do it, fine, but don’t f others voice disagreement then that should be accepted.

West Ham have added Fábio Vieira to their list of midfield options. No approach yet to Arsenal, but Vieira now a name of interest.

Exactly. Add in him trying to blame one of his many fuck ups on a younger player (Saka) in that embarrassing shit documentary on Amazon and his dropping the race card on Arsenal supporters. Lobotomy Clive Xhakatard was and is a grade A Cûnt.the playing mantis wrote: ↑Mon Jul 28, 2025 8:49 pmIf memory serves the idiot was strolling off when we were chasing the game and fans were urging him to get off after a terrible displayEC1 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 28, 2025 8:03 pmGet over it.the playing mantis wrote: ↑Mon Jul 28, 2025 7:23 pmEC1 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 28, 2025 6:46 pm137 caps for Switzerland, great contribution to Laverkusun, a very good good final season at Arsenal.

Welcome back mate. Best of luck for the new season. Hoping your lot can smash both the sperz of the north and the sperz of the south home and away.safcftm wrote: ↑Mon Jul 28, 2025 5:08 pmHopefully not, I'm looking forward to seeing him arrive and think he'll do well. We need the experience and, well, it's a world away from what we've been watching in league one!OneBardGooner wrote: ↑Mon Jul 28, 2025 12:41 pmYeah! Cue plenty of posts calling the Cūnt out by the Mackem's Fan who used to post on here regularly (SAFC?)
Was glad to see you got a striker in as well, Gyokeres has tortured us a few times in the championship, think he'll be a great addition if you get the service right
*Might be best to bring a tin hat on here whenever Lobotomy Clive Xhakatard is mentioned. I'm prone to cùnting him at the drop of a hat.

Av we got rid of 'Avitz yet ??

Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
Lots of stuff about Eze . I hope he can also play in the captains position ?????
If he signs we have a good squad for this season , it will be us against Liverpool at home and possibly in Europe !!!!! by the end of the season Arteta will be hero or zero. Blimey it could be good.

Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
And here is another example of the ineptitude of our transfer people -
Latest reports suggest that Arsenal remain interested in eze but on one condition ....... palace will have to drop their £68m asking price
We are a club that went in and paid £52m plus bonuses for a chav player that had flopped in his two seasons with them and who had no other club interested in him, and yet we baulk at paying just £16m extra for a player who was one of the best players in the league last season, who was the main reason why that palace team won the fa cup last season, and who has impressed for his country every time he has played for them (something a lot of good players struggle with tbf)
What the absolute f**k is wrong with our club ?? I will bet my testicles that if we dont sign eze this summer, one of our rivals will, and we fcuking about over a paltry £68m fee (that is nothing in today's football world)
Is it because he might displace the disappearing captain and the cone boy dont want that ? Sort yourselves out here ffs and dont let eze join another club

Re: ALL Transfer talk - merged thread
I don't think you'll get any arguments on that from anyone (at least on here) Augie.
Madueke cost £52Million and we were mugged Big time
Eze for £68(?) Million is a steal
And what does out Transfer / Buying team do?
It Beggars Belief.

The 30 y/o winger also has two concrete offers from Premier League clubs. A move in this window is possible. #BVB
He is under contract at Arsenal until 2027.
