Only a friendly...scum taking it seriously....

As for raya good shot stopper...but vulnerable to a player chipping over his head....and hes short for a keeper

I think Augie is wrong on the Dowman age thing - Nwaneri played for us when he was 15. I thought as long they turned 16 during the season it was ok, but maybe that has changed in which case I stand corrected

Nwaneri came on at 15 in the last minute in a game we were 3-0 up and wasn't seen again for the rest of the season. It was a Arteta gimmick.
If you have faith in Nwaneri you dont buy Madueke

Lets face it Havertz is going to be second fiddle to Gyokeres.

Odegaard, I can't disagree. If Dowman and Nwaneri are both available that guy either steps up to the plate or those wonderkids get blooded in a big way

Save the money on Eze and go get another striker. A proper striker. Watkins from the bench is proven high impact. He and Gyokeres competing is way better than Havertz and Gyokeres

I didn't watch the game today because I'd rather stick cocktail sticks in my bulbeye than watch any pre season football. The cricket's going well though !

Football starts in mid August. This tourist happy clapping Asia we love you shite is worse than the Lionesses!

Maybe you are right Steve O cos I dont know and am only going by reports online (and there were several) that said that he cannot play premier league until he turns 16 :?

- we could buy eze or rodrygo or have peak pires or peak ladyboy ronaldo on our left wing and it wont matter as long as the norwegian fanny is hiding on the right wing, and taking forever to release the ball

Yep, but I think the question is can he play from season start because he turns 16 in December, or has he got to wait until he actually turns 16 in December?

My understanding is he has to wait until he turns 16 in December, so we won't see him in the PL until then, although I could be wrong on that.

Googled it and their AI Scarey Bollocks came up with this:

A player must be at least 16 years old to play in the Premier League. While there isn't a minimum age for domestic players, there are rules about signing players from abroad, which prevent signing players under 18. Additionally, there are rules regarding the display of sponsors on shirts and other logistical considerations for players under 18.

Minimum Age:
There is no minimum age for a player to be eligible to play in the Premier League, provided they are registered with a club.

Under 18 Restrictions:
Clubs cannot sign players under 18 from abroad.

Premier League Rules:
Premier League rules also stipulate that players included in matchday squads cannot be from a lower age group than the under-16s.

Homegrown Players:
There's a rule about homegrown players, meaning players who have been registered with a club in England or Wales for three years before their 21st birthday, according to the New York Times.

Homegrown Restrictions:
Due to Brexit, it has become harder for clubs to sign younger players from abroad and develop them into homegrown players.

Exceptional Circumstances:
Players under 16 can play in the Premier League but may have different rules regarding changing rooms, shirt sponsors, and parental permission, according to a YouTube video.

Youngest Debutants:
Several players have made their Premier League debuts at 16 or even younger, like Ethan Nwaneri, who debuted for Arsenal at 15 years and 181 days old

Going back to my criticism of the creative genius that is raya (  ), is the cone boy trying to tell us that raya is soooo good with the ball at his feet, that on our kick offs he is the best player we have to receive the ball and launch it downfield ???? I mean seriously all he is doing is hoofing the ball 60 yards down the pitch, and yet the cone boy has to bring this fuckwit 40 yards from his goals to do something that any of our players should be capable of doing  To me it is just feeding into his bu!!shit that he is some sort of playmaker with the ball at his feet

Is that what Arteta said? If so, then he's clearly mis-spent a billion pounds.

I might be wrong, but I think Augie is saying that THAT is what He Thinks Arteta is attempting to imply with regards Raya. But for sure there are Better / More Reliable, Consistent & Confident Goalies out there to be had / bought.

Our kick off's yesterday involved raya standing 20-30 yards outside his penalty area, and whoever takes the kick off passes it back to him and he launches it downfield - it is as primitive/wimbledon style tactic as you will ever see, but my gripe is why we have to bring raya so far out of goal to hoof it down the field when any jackass could do it ? :? :? I mean it doesnt require (going by yesterday) a guy that can kick the ball 50 yards down the field right to his team-mates feet, so ffs get one of the back 4 to do it and send that cock back into his goals ffs

Ok augie, thanks.

It's a ridiculous practice and makes no sense. As you say, any defender is capable of lumping the ball up the pitch in a general direction.

As for the goal conceded against the scum, I decided to watch some brief highlights. What a disaster! About 30 yards out of his goal and plays a daft pass to MLS, who didn't help himself even though he was being closed down. Smart finish from Sarr, but self inflicted on our part. I doubt anything will change.

I know people say it was only a pre season "friendly", but it still stings to lose to that lot and from the little I saw and from the comments on here, the same old issues exist, regardless of new additions.
