Sticking with ødegaard will be his downfall

And when the downfall comes he will have no-one to blame bar himself - stevie wonder could see how much this wankstain is holding the team back, but yet the cone boy continues to pick him regardless  No way the disappearing fcuk is a regular starter if the cone boy is gone out of our club in the morning

Wasnt even aware there was a penalty shootout cos I turned off at ft

Haven't watched a single minute of any of the pre-season, haven't got it in me

How did Madueke play?

I know we've all been on a downer for signing another Chav, but how did he compare to Martinelli, who it appears has been as shite as last season and the one before that....

I'm assuming he played wide left?

Didn’t see the game, so can’t make any judgments, but from reading the posts there’s one point I’d make.

I’ll admit to being a fan of Martinelli and think his ineffectiveness is down to Lego Head’s tactics, although I accept that I’m biased. However, complaining that he doesn’t cross the ball consistently well is because he's right footed and is played on the left. Someone remarked that Madueke crossed well when he replaced Gabi, but remember, Madueke is left footed.

I’ve no doubt that Arteta will adjust his hitherto rigid tactics to suit the new boy.

Patterns of play were good today, tempo high and moved the opponents around easily, was a decent watch.

Gyokeres or Glock 14 as I'm going to call him it's nice to see a striker again at Arsenal that is hungry for goals and has a strikers instinct to drive into the box and won't be scared to fire a shot at goal.

His running of the left channel an obvious weakness of ours may well open up space for Saka etc on the right.

Zubimendi certainly looks like a very good signing, instant passing no three touches and sideways.

Whatever the season brings I hope we play this style looked more akin to 22/3 when we surprised everyone including most of us at least for 3/4 of the season, good to watch and a threat.

Would say Madueke played well the 2nd half, left side is up for grabs. I still hope we go for Eze and jog a few of the squad on.

Glock a make of gun that fires different makes he's 14, so instead of Gyokeres, Glock we are the Gunners so just a bit of fun.

Bard no blanks, hopefully, either way he looks a CF that will at least pull the trigger, see all gun related

It was about 30 minutes , Martinelli made a run in what was once called the inside left position a pass inside the defender and was through but Odegaard turned right and gave a short pass to Saka. If he's not on the touch line he is ignored.
