Is it 8 seconds from holding the ball in his hands or 8 seconds from the moment he receives it
I think it's handling the ball, to stop all the nonsense of keepers flopping on the floor with ball in hand (ooo er missus).

Ball at feet is no different to an outfield player and theoretically a keeper could run the length of the field with the ball and score. A bit like "rush goalie" :D
If Arteta sees this post you know what he's gonna tell Raya to do don't you!!! :D

The new 8 second rule comes into effect this season, where the GK has 8 seconds to get rid of the ball ,and if he doesn't the opposition are given a corner kick ,so you can be 100% sure we will be the 1st team to get penalised when the new season kicks off
just trying to justify their job by making changes every season....fuckin CORRUPT jobsworths
slight amendment there mate! Hope that's okay with you?

For the goalies who play for liVARpool, Cheaty, Chavs & Manure it's 8 seconds but for Raya it's 6 seconds.

Dont even whisper that - raya already thinks that he is an outfield player as it is, so he wouldnt need much encouragement to go galloping into their half

This game will be won and lost in midfield or more specifically in their attacking midfield - if we keep their two 10's quiet then we should win, but by same token our midfield could be more wide open than kerry katona's snatch and we could get destroyed :cussing:

I expect gabriel will leave a "welcome to the premier league" on sesko early in the game 8)

If they dont drop their two wing backs into a back 5, then we should instruct our wingers to stay wide and entice their centre backs out of the middle to leave gyokeres 1 v 1 in middle, but that entails the disappearing c.unt to stay central instead of bringing opposition players into saka's space, and that wont happen  I am more nervous of this game than I should be - as old cloughie said, on paper we are a much better team, but the game is played on grass not paper

I don't see them as the same animal as last season , they have bought players in and will be full of new season enthusiasm . Add in the Anthony Taylor effect and I can sense problems .

They havent upgraded their keeper, havent upgraded their defence, havent upgraded their midfield, so yes they have improved their attack (from shit to decent), they are still a poor enough team overall. I am more worried about our bottle and our manager/captain combo fcuking us over than anything they have tbh

Far too many tactics for Diet Pep to embrace

FFS - that useless c.unt couldnt even give a clear penalty to palace yesterday when he was on var for fear it would upset the entitled victim c.unts
