Im putting the trossard deal down to the fact ,that they became aware that havertz could be out for a long time, and then decided we can't lose another attacking player after this.

My concern (b4 we knew havertz was injured) ,was that they had no intention of adding another attacking player to the squad. This injury has forced them now to act.

I rubbished the Sterling rumours  at the start of last season and tht bit me in the arse ,so I predict Nicholas Jackson comes in as a loan signing for this season.

Sources do NOT expect Arsenal to react to Kai Havertz’s injury by trying to make a big-money late signing. Instead, the expectation is that the club would look at the LOAN market or possible cut-price options. [Via @Matt_Law_DT]

The Trossard extension does make more sense in the context of Havertz being out for the season with an ACL.

🚨 Tottenham are looking to potentially include Richarlison in a deal for Eberechi Eze, which would free up a space to try and sign Yoane Wissa.
🙏🏻 Wissa still wants to join Newcastle, who had a second bid (£35m + £5m) turned down for him this afternoon.
🇧🇷 Richarlison also favours staying at Tottenham, and Palace would rather do a straight cash deal for Eze — who they’re in talks with Spurs over.
🇨🇩 Frank keen on signing Wissa but can only do so if he loses a striker.
🤷🏽‍♂️ It’s all getting a bit confusing, with lots of plates spinning & things at play.

Arsenal prepared to pay around £60m, similar to the package Spurs already agreed. Eze is expected to chose #AFC.🔽

- Tottenham fully agreed terms with Crystal Palace and Eze today.
- Palace would not finalise the transfer because they want Eze to play tomorrow night.
- Arsenal made their move late this afternoon, also matching Palace's terms.
- Eze has an emotional affinity to Arsenal and favours them.
- Bitterly disappointing for Tottenham but they feel they have done everything possible to sign Eze.
