Wenger: I have money (8/7)

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

I read an article earlier this year that Fergie doesn't even turn up to the training ground most days, Queiroz after his return was the real reason for their recent success. role on the new season, we are going to win the league.
That's a point that no-one in the bloody Media has cared to mention- rednose struggles without a no.2....

COME ON YOU GUNNERS!!!!!

So we are basing our future sucesses on all our rivals screwing up rather than by winning something ourselves :?:  :banghead: :banghead:

Where is the hope that wenger will improve the team and squad this season ? Where is the hope that allied to the improvement in team quality that we also find miraculous cures for rvp and rosicky making them real contenders for player of the season ? If we need other teams to fuck up to allow us to win then we may as well throw in the towel now

The culture of concentrating on footballing skills and passing at Arsenal means it's surely not surprising that most players AW brings in improve to the point where they become targets for wealthier clubs, usually at greatly enhanced prices. The profit made on these deals has contributed to our relatively seamless move from beloved Highbury, which always seemed likely to imperil our finances. There is the danger that this buying and selling proves so successful financially that it can become the culture, with the downside that we never quite win anything as we are always in transition.

We were so close last year that even without Flamini, Hleb and the scourge of Derby County, I think that the transition phase is over, particularly if we get £30m for Adebayor to finance a more established, but developable striker ie a Santa Cruz or Villa (rather than a Drogba). In any case I'd rather continue to watch football a la Wenger, rather than the stodge mostly served up by Chelski. Mind you, I wouldn't wish a Stamford Bridge Season Ticket on my worst enemy, let alone a true, but possibly temporarily misdirected Gooner! And anyone for Kenilworth Rd? :magic_hat:

I would like new owners but preferably not usmanov ok ? 8) :barscarf:
FFS Augie come on how can you say that the board couldn't organise a piss-up in a brewery when they took the decision, and organised our essential move from Highbury to Ashburton, have you any idea of the amount of work involved in a task of that size, in fact DD gambled on them makin a horlicks of it so that he could come to the rescue and seize power, and when Fiszman and co. proved him wrong he started the underhanded stuff which is what led to the stand up row on the day he was ousted, and if you put yourself in their position after they'd done the so called impossible, then you should understand why they were so pissed off!

Also, I still can not for the life of me understand how you can take such a pro-DD and at the same time such anti-board stance when they took us to TNHOF while he actually wanted to take the club out of Islington altogether and make us homeless tenants of Wembley and ultimately sold his shares to the closest thing that Russia has to Jabba the Hutt (literally)........................ I mean where's your thinkin

I remember thinkin that when Henry was threatening to leave in 2006, that everything was ok, it wasn't a disaster, but if AW left that would be a totally different story cos he is the best thing to happen to our club EVER, yet if you said to me that his next proposal was to have us leave N5 and groundshare out in the wilderness that is Wembley I'd say goodbye Arsene and not look back!

Think about what was actually proposed I don't know about you Augie but the fact that it was even considered by our former vice chair who could've maybe been in charge, frightens the f**kin life outta me, I mean everyone, myself included misses our old home as it is simply irreplaceable but can you imagine how bad it would've been had the board taken the easy DD route, just think about it for a second .................. like i said - scary!
