Stan's the man.

Post by Hagbard 23 »

Hearing a few rumours this morning that old Silent Stan is getting ready to mount 600+ million pound takeover , apparently within the next fortnight. He'll partner Dein and they'll have a 30% stake between them. Personally I hope this is true, as Kroenke has Billions to throw around. The futures bright lads.

It would certainly give us the mone to compete with the big money clubs, but does that mean we will then become like them?

When Chelski got taken over i said i want Arsenal to remain as it is, but Stan seems to be diffrent i have read that once his takeover is complete that David Dien will be back which is great news also that he wants to do things the arsenal way which to me means Arsene will stay and continue the revolution

I know some people don't want the take over but i would rather Stan "The Man" took over than some one who doesn't care about us at all

I would welcome a takeover from Stan and Dein.. The club are praising and highlighting the foresight and things Herbert Chapman did to bring Arsenal into the 20th Century (rightly so he is still the greatest AFC manager ever in my opinion) the way football has changed again recently i think Herbert would have agreed this is the way to move us as a club into the 21st century. Agree with it or not i think its the only way to keep up with everyone else. Remember ManUre won the league last year and have spent roughly 50 million afterwards, we cant compete with those figures at the moment.

No I don't think Wenger is the kind of manager who would buy in that way. But any other manager may.

what i am saying is football has changed even over the last 3-4 years thats why i think you need to spend big or at least bigger than we do and Stan will help with that

i just hope that he really does have the good intentions towards the club it would be great to have DD back! i dont think AW would splash the cash to much after all he has been working on the youth system since he arrived so i dont think he'll just forget about it. one thing i'm worried about is if he does spend big that means bigger wages for that player so therefore the rest will be thinking "hey what about me" and we all know Wengers views on the wage structure

In the competition spurs have been trying (unsuccessfully) to dominate for a great many years...the UEFA CUP!

MY GOD LET THE SEASON BEGIN

Post by wolf »

Having read and re read all the various posts regarding SK takeover bid. The one thing thats is very apparent is the complete lack of consideration thats been given to the fans over the summer. This to me says it all. No matter if you are for or against takeover your opinion is in no way valued.
I know most big businesses wouldn´t consult the people on the ground before making any kind of earth shatttering decisions - so why should we be diffrent? Perhaps because we spend a shit load of money each year My hope/belief is that any change that comes our way will be benificial.

Thankfully forums like this give loyal fans the chance to vent frustrations.

Now all I want is for the games to start. I am so sick of all the false hopes this summer has brought.

Let the fun begin.

Love and Peace to you all.

Well not the stupid mancs that keep me pissed off.

What exactly are you looking to be consulted in ??? Either the board resist the take-over or they sell to Stan . I think the board have communicated they don't want to sell . What has Stan said .. Sweet F.A .... Untill we hear Stan's & D.D's plans I don't see how anyone can be in favour of it . It all seems wishful thinking that he will ride in chomping a cigar & splatter billions upon billions on new players.. Anyone spoke to him direct to confirm this ? I think a lot of people are making the association with D.D as it being o.k then .. I'm not until I hear his plans..

Good points

Perhaps the use of consultation was incorrect. I obvoiusly didn´t make it clear enough that I am sick and tired of the will we sell out wont we sell outthreads. The stability or unstability ( depending on what you do or don´t believe) of the board is not something we the fans have any say in.

Let the games begin.

Oh and roll on April!!

Looks like the time we live in to be honest ... It appears that Stan has better credentials compared with some of the recent buyers backgrounds..the ex Thai p.m is hugely dodge as is the Portsmouth guy .. I take your point that it is destabilising but i think thats a consequence of Stan not telling us what his plans are rather then the current board.
