Renewed interest in Navas?

Renewed interest in Navas?

Post by Leprechaun_9 »

Recent speculation has again linked us to the signing of young Sevilla winger Jesus Navas. Wenger is known as a long time admirer of Navas and was linked in the previous January transfer window to a double transfer for himself and fellow team player Puerta. Whilst I am wary of these rumours, there seems to be a trend that Arsenal track a player for a long period before buying, and as such this may have more substance...(as opposed to Placio rumour!). Has anybody any thoughts on this??? :?:

Just look at his name, I'd imagine weather wouldn't be much of a problem if he doesn't want it to be.

He would probably end up being another Reyes!!

He has a similar back-ground to our ex-player and even plays in the same manner. Very slight of body and easily disposessed.

As with Jose, I think he might find the Premiership a bit too 'physical' for his liking.

Not great at Spanish but does Reyes not mean King and now some bloke called Jesus is linked :?

I know at times we cry out for divine intervention but this is taking the piss

So when it's peeing it down we can all get pissed!

I say bring him in and let it rain!!

So are we saying here that we can swap girly mummys boy Reyes for a good winger who is a biblical leader of men as well as being a walking vinyard?

Do it! Do it now!

God indeed is a Gooner!

Can't see it myself (as opposed to i did not see it).

I think he's fairly settled on his midfield. With Cesc, Gilberto, Rosicky & RVP / Theo. I personally still feel that we're a million miles away from what i consider the best Arsenal midfield in a long time of; Overmars, Petit, Vieira, Pires. I think we need some mid field steel. No disrespect to either Gilberto or the amazing Fabregas. I just think we look more balanced with a flat mid field as opposed to playing Gilberto slightly behind the midfield. (just my opinion).

I agree with you about the midfield thats why Arsene brought in Diaby, so hopfully he can really have a good season and prove himself to Arsene and the fans, i'm not sure he can be as good as PV but hopefully as he gets older he gets better, i think Arsenal need a new Marc Overmars he was something special i'm just not sure who there is thats as good as he was back in the day, i still think Matty Taylor from portsmouth would be a good buy but i don't see it happening

A_A_1886, you aren't by any chance Taylor trying to give yourself a rap on here so an arsenal scout notices you are you?

It just all the mentions of him...

But seriously, I'm Frank Lampard, I posted things about myself and how good I was on all the good Arsenal sites so Chelsea would see it and thinking that if Arsenal wanted me then I must be good, they bought me. That's their problem as long as I get the money

That's good work Frank. I hope it all works out for you. You really should ask Jamie Redknapp to mention more often in the Sky games that you're is cousin.

I don't recall Overmars and Pires playing in the same side. :? Indeed, wasn't Pires bought in the summer of 2000 to replace Overmars who had gone to Barcelona?

However, had Pires played on our right-hand side with Overmars left and the Petit/Vieira axis in the centre, it would have been a fantastic midfield quartet and Arsenal would most probably have been even more successful. 8)
