Working in the Players Lounge

As we're unlikely to see terraces again at football, this is the virtual equivalent where you can chat to your hearts content about all football matters and, obviously, Arsenal in particular. This forum encourages all Gooners to visit and contribute so please keep it respectful, clean and topical.

Working in the Players Lounge

Post by T.S »

Don't know why this didn't occur to me sooner...is there anyone on here who used to/does work in the players lounge? I worked up there for Letherby and Christopher when it was in the Clock End a while back. I think it's run by Delaware North now. Working in that place was awesome, so I was wondering if any of you lot ever did any work there (or paid top dollar to have a meal up there post-match...)?

It certainly is the glorious Gus Ceasar Geezer!

Gus is seen here modelling the 2003/04 strip at Martin Keown's testimonial!

I was at that game, I don't remember him playing.

Didn't we wear the red that night?

Correct Stats!

As per usual nobody wanted the beloved Gus on the pitch for any significant amount of time!

My mate was mascot against Ipswich Town in the mid 80's and we won 4-1 and we got into the players lounge afterwards !! Does that count? :) I was like a kid in a sweetshop with my autograph book in a day when the players actually hit the bar afterwards for a drink !!

The only players lounge i've been in is Southends!!

Wasn't all bad they had Jeroen Boere the ex hammer playing for them and his missus was a dutch glamour girl!

The nearest I've ever got to the players lounge was on the way back from a gooner pre-season tour (Bochum & Twente Enschede) and we shared the bar on the ferry with the whole team!

Only problem was it was Ipswich Town not Arsenal. Mouthy bunch they were too. Especially Eric Gates. Wanker!
