Arsenal Takeover

Post by Robsy »

The papers are at it again, apparently Stan Kroenke is close to an 'aggressive' takeover the club.

I've heard loads of differing views from fans (both in the stands and in the pub); but it would be interesting to know what this forum thinks...

The two choices are a bit extreme. I would feel neither. I would not be elated, but definitely not gutted. I think I'd feel excited, if a bit anxious. Still, seeing as I think (hope) it will be a positive move, I'll go for "elated"

yeah, there should a 3rd choice: 'depends' .. ie, depends on the details, and what he plans to do ...

Yeah must agree there I was hoping that there would be a, reserve judgement, or not sure yet option at the very least until we've heard DD speak seein as I'm sure we'll hear very little from Silent Stan!

Morning all, I posted this in the other poll early this morning so I'll put it in here as well.

Call me an old fart, but I wouldnt like to see either of them take over the Arse. To me they are not ARSENAL people. There's only one reason that Silent Stan wants to get in on the action and thats money. Does he come and watch home games? I dont know. Is he a big fan of Arsenal? I dont know. Perhaps he's trying to outdo his missus who's the Wal-mart heiress. So Fuck Off Stan the Man. I wonder if the yanks are trying to get in over here cos the japs have bought over everything in the good old US of A. Im suprised that Sony havent made inward tracks over here for a football club. As for Bernie? he watches Chel$hite when he has nothing else to do! Fuck off Bernie we dont want you, especially with your quote of "I'll buy anything if its cheap enough"

I know the current board are not everybody's flavour of the month, but they do things different to Manure, Chel$shite and the Mickey Mousers whereas you get loads of crap coming out from these and they love the high profile they get - doesnt make them play any better just sells more merchandise. At least with PHW either you love him or hate him but he is Arsenal and if I was him I wouldnt want anybody taking over after the board have got the new stadium built, the best manager in the world and the best football in Europe being played.

Having loads of dosh wont change La Boss's way of buying, its not his way, unless there is a real exceptional player he likes. And Im sure if he wanted a certain player that the Arse have the money to get him. I personally dont think we are being left behind lets hope we have a better start than last season and we see off the lesser teams as I know we can do.

Totally agree del.

Surely there is an arsenal supporting billionairre out there other than her maj if we are to be taken over.

The one plus point wit SS is that he is building a sporting empire so will want us to be the best, no plusses with chav bernie.
