Appiah, Ljungberg?

Post by RaM »

What do you all make of the newest rumour of us hijacking West Ham's signing of Stephen Appiah?

And the fact that Freddie looks like going to West Ham for 3.5m?

Wenger did only say he was 90% sure Freddie would stay...

Yep another highly rated central midfielder.

Somebody tell Arsene that we are allowed to use the full width of our pitch and there are players that specifically play there!

Oh Dear me....another player out the door.. :( ...a true legend. I just hope Wenger will now purchase a winger to replace him. A fair price also considering the current markets tendancy to overvalue players. Will be a big asset to the hammers if he stays fit :?:

Wish to say thank you to Freddie for his many years of good service ..

On Appiah, perhaps Le Boss is planning on converting one of the central midfielders to defence .. perhaps this is why there has been no talk of a central defence acquisition ...

some Stephen Appiah links ...

The guy has been around, mostly in Italy ... was linked to ManUre during last year's transfer period -- apparent, they were considering between him and Owen Hargreaves.

This lends support to my last post that perhaps Le Boss is thinking of converting berto to central defence ... not bad move IMHO.

With the departure of Freddie Ljungberg this must mean we now need to go back on the market and look for a winger someone with pace, skill, knowledge and scoring abillity. Obviously Arsenal are not listerning to me about Matty Taylor :lol: so what about S Whight-Phillips hes for sale i know Chelski will not sell him to us without a fight but lets give them one because at the moment it feels like they have walked all over us in recent years. The only player i can think of that we got insted of them or Man Utd is young Theo, i heard people say we have lost our bottle but lets prove everyone wrong lets get SWP lets prove ourselevs in the league and fight back.

Seriously, I am curious to know whether the powers that be at Arsenal watch and listen to fan sites/forums like this one .. because if they do, they could save a fortune in scouting costs .. obviously they have to wade thru some of our hare-brained ideas now and then :lol: .. but they will be rewarded with useful ideas a lot of the time ...

I agree, matty taylor will be a great buy .. and yes, I am convinced that you are not matty taylor in disguise :mrgreen;

You all hleb bashers will be surprised at the 'new and improved' hleb that will unfold this season ... he just needs to shoot at goal more, and he will be a more complete player.

In my opinion he has done mostly great for us, but it seems most folks only associate him with the bad times ... also TH14 was probably a factor that negatively affected his confidence ...

So, lets start a 'Sign Matty Taylor' campaing ... SWP, I'm not so sure about .. but if we will be without Freddie, rather him than have no new buy ...
