Mikael Silvestre

Good signing ! Well done Arsene thats what I've always wanted just a few experienced players for a low cost.
He has done well when his played agiants us especially when he over laps and crosses he set up a few goals like that from what I can remember.

Now please central mid and keeper and I will never doubt you agian Mr.Wenger.

Humble pie munch munch........ :barscarf:

Jesus wept some people do like to fantasise! Why the hell would we employ a 31 year old as a player coach?

Look if he is cheap enough and passes the medical then this move is fine by me. We haxe a lack of experience in the squad which this guy can help to improve. He has been there and done it more times than all of our players added together!

I am sorry but anyone who thinks that Senderos is a better player than Silvestre should compare their personal trophy cabinets.

Yes Sivestre is 31 but that is no age really....I don't here anyone saying we should get rid of Willy because of his age!

Yes we still need that midfielder too but IF this happens I would regard it as a nice little bonus.
I don't think I have ever agreed with one of your posts more Gus

I think this is an excellent signing for Arsenal. A player of proven quality with bags of experience added to the squad. Silvestre provides just the sort of cover needed to allow Clichy the odd rest here and there. He is a born winner with a succession of Title's and a winning mentality. He also provides some cover at centre-half - although still not the big header-winning lump we need.

It reminds me a bit of Rioch's final signing - John Lukic. That was an arrival I was delighted with and I am equally please with this one. A perfect squad player adding some serious experience. Just what the doctor ordered.

Now just the midfielder, centre-back and goalkeeper needed!

Yes it is which his talent and wealth of experience will add to our team!

Well I think this is a very good signing! People have been crying out for another centre half and compared to the majority of the names cast about by most this guy is head and shoulders above the rest!

Have a sneaky suspicsion that have of this is because he camr from Man Yoo! Well we didnt have a problem with Sol or Willy from our two other biggest rivals so why this guy?

I think it could turn out to be a very shrewd signing. An older, more experienced head would seriously have helped us at crucial times last season (thinking v B'ham away, v L'pool Champs Lge away...) in fact this would have been a good signing in the January window!

Still need a Gattuso in midfield tho...
