What is the big deal about him being former Manure :?: It really doesn't matter a shit does it. Will all those that are against him refuse to celebrate winning the CL final if he gets the only goal of the game???? Thought not.
wat about when pat jennings came to us - he was old and cheap and he did well for us and from a big rival - we gave him a chance
Finally, a valid point from Calo. Keep thatup and you might last the week

So answer me why different to Campbell or Gallas?

:?
as I already said on ANOTHER thread Gallas choosed to leave Chelsea for Arsenal so did Campbell both where first team regulars both where younger!
If Silvestre was a first choice player would he move to Arsenal!!

No but would we have got him for £750,000 reportedly and £50k a week?

NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also see you didnt answer the earlier thread!

I could Answer it if you want but I base most of my posts on all things Arsenal and not mud slinging at other members if you want to do that then do it!
but dont have the front to tell me to grow up because I dont agree with you!!!!!

Ok take away the top paragraph then and answr it only perely Arsenal and football terms!

No?

Didn't think so!

Every time you pipe up and knock someone for having a dig at an Arsenal player remember you called Silvestre a midget who cant head a ball before he even kicked a ball for us!

Think we all hope that fella but like I have said before I see this as a good added bonus!

If it is the "other" signing then I think we will have been cheated and an obvious whole in our midfield missed!

What's the prob? Players come and go, always have done. Hope he does a good job for us.

Perhaps we've just got so used to buying all our players from abroad that we find it harder to trust players joining from our direct rivals.

I don't understand all this anomosity towards midgets  I like midgets, in fact I have to confess that once upon a time I used to be only three foot tall, was great for looking up ladies skirts  Give the little man a chance 8)

has anyone seen his interview on arsenal tv online. it mentions on the website -how the move came about? perhaps this could tell us whether it is a last minute thing or this really is the "certain, one more body, before twente" signing. i hope not. CDM wenger, inler!!

50k a week (relatively high for us and around the same as we were offering Flamini I think?) would seem to suggest he might be more than just a squad player. I’d be much happier if he’s coming in primarily as back-up and please god don’t let this mean that we’re not gonna be brining in a new midfielder!

Personally I don’t really have a problem with the Ushited connection - other than a slight concern over Ferguson’s willingness to sell him to us in the first place (even given the contract situation). Still it wouldn’t be the first time the red-nosed-c*nt’s been wrong.

Anyone know if him and Gallas have played regularly together for France and if they were any good as a pairing?

i don't know why people are annoyed that we have signed him its not like old red nose has sent him into the Arsenal camp to rock the boat he's a professional footballer who got a last chance to play for a top club of course he is going to take that chance and in return we got a decent enough quality for back up

If anyone uses facebook - this is how the mancs took the news

http://www.new.facebook.com/topic.php?u ... 6924fc4f9f

Couple of posts that stand out:

"SAF is fucking running us down. I have no faith in him. his lousy descisions are costing us results"

"I never thought United would have a traitor in our ranks! Silvestre is now a Judas Scum!"

"Goodbye and good luck! From is temporary, but class is permanent!" - majority say the same really but the above 2 posts - clearly the club's fanbase is full of crackheads
