PS. Good forum guys everyones got an opion and a counter opion let the debate rage on.
Firstly, it's ECD which is short for Eboue Can't Defend (Patented and Trade Marked by me in 2006!! 8) ). Although, in truth, as George Foreman use to say: 'I don't care what people call me as long as they call me for dinner!'

Secondly, your point about Wenger not wanting to play with 2 wide attacking midfield players as a reason for that substitution of Bobby Pires doesn't stack up. After taking off Pires, he still had two nominal wide men in Freddie and Hleb on the pitch!

Even if the plan was for them to tuck in and come off the wings to support Henry, it's not anything new to Bobby or something he hadn't already done for us in the past. And he offered far more of a goal threat than Hleb.

Either way, I still believe it was a bad call by Wenger. Not only because of what Robert Pires might have been able to contribute in that match, but also because Pires deserved to be treated better than that after all he had done for us.

Anyway, welcome to the forum goonari. Hope you will continue to enjoy it.
